Not bad. It's a little stinkier than some of the ones I really like (I and my cats love instinct rockstar rabbit flavor) but it seems pretty okay. Did not upset my cats stomach, one out of my two cats loves it, the other one snubs it to make a point but comes back and eats it twenty minutes later. Makes their poo a little stinkier than the ones I really like but it's also a lot better priced, and I like to feed a few different foods to keep them used to having a variety of flavors and nutrients so I will be ordering it occasionally.Update: I do think this food isn't as high quality as I expected, but honestly it's such a good value. One of my cats continues to tolerate it pretty well although he meows at me like this isn't my favorite. My other cat needs to be coaxed to eat it. luckily the one that likes it is the porker so it really is economical since he eats 10 oz a day (he's super duper hyper active wild kitty, he's not fat). To be fair my other cat is pretty picky.

carrageenan
If you aren't worried about the carrageenan in this food then the only other issue may be constipation in some cats. Here is an important note about carrageenan in pet foods: Studies on rats and monkeys have shown that carrageenan is linked to cancer, ulcers, and various gastrointestinal problems. But don't take my word for it please take a look at this article and look at your pet food labels more carefully. The article/review can be read in full here:[...]

This is truly amazing for diabetic cats
My cat was diagnosed with diabetes in July 2012. She went into remission Nov. 2012. Unfortunately it returned Nov. 2013 and I had to put her on insulin Dec. 2013 b/c I was unaware of the Evo at the time.I was giving her Purina DM soft food but her glucose was still in the 3 digits. After joining a diabetic cat forum I began looking into the soft food I give my cat. Fancy Feast Classics turkey & giblets and chicken was the only cat food that was low in carbs. I started giving her that and she would scarf that food down fast. She would polish off three 3.0 oz cans in one day. I needed to give her something else and came across this Evo.At first she was peeling off two 5.5 cans a day then she just stopped eating it. That scared me a bit but it turned out that she was burned out on it.Since she was peeling off her food fast I had to resort to getting her the 13.5 oz Fancy Feast cat food. My brother-in-law told me to mix her food since those cans were really high in carbs. So I did.Mixing a spoonful or two of Evo 95% chicken & turkey with the high carbed Fancy Feast( she just finished Ocean whitefish & tuna) keeps her glucose at bay. She's been on this can for 4 days and her glucose was 88.She has the supper supreme or something like that that I will be giving her next.Since I can no longer feed her dry food and have to get her soft food, I will be giving her Evo from now on. I started giving her this food in Feb. of this year (2014) and only had to give her insulin 6 times in that month. After that no insulin. And no vet visits. If anybody's budget is tight like mine I highly recommend a 13.5 oz can of cat food that's low in carbs. If you can't find any then mixing Evo with whatever you give your cat will keep their glucose level down.***************************UPDATE*********************************************************I realized that when I was mixing this Evo with a high carb soft food my cat's kitty litter wasn't drying at all. I think even though her glucose level was normal it may have done something to her ketones that caused her litter to be a sopping wet mess. After giving her just the Evo and putting her back on the low carb Fancy Feast Classics chicken, turkey & giblets, her kitty litter usage went back to normal meaning her litter would dry up after I cleaned it instead of staying wet. So high carb soft food and dry food is a no go for my geriatric teenaged cat.

Too bad. I thought I had a winner
I was excited about the no grain and high protein amounts but when I read the ingredients I found that they use carrageenan as a preservative which is another name for MSG and is used as a preservative. I've also read that "Natural Flavor" is used to hide other undesirable ingredients. I checked the Wellness brand food that is comparable to this and they don't have any preservatives listed. I've been told not to consume Carrageenan in my foods so I'm certainly not going to feed it to my cats. In order for me to buy this again my issues with "natural flavor" and carrageenan would have to be addressed. Too bad. I thought I had a winner. Read, read, read labels.

Good, but warm up first
Great food for my cats. Gives them lots of energy, doesn't smell too bad in the litterbox. Only thing is that it congeals when cooled and the cats won't eat very much if it's put out cold or cools off after it's put out. I've found that adding extra water to it and heating it in the microwave so it's warm to the touch greatly increases how much my cats will eat per meal. (which ensures I only have to feed the cats 2x per day, and don't have to leave the food out all day to rot just to avoid being my cats constant personal chef.) For what it's worth, I feed each cat about 3 tablespoons of this food, 2x per day. So one one big can lasts one day for me. I have 2 18-month old indoor cats, about 10 lbs each. It's enough to keep them maintaining and not gaining weight, and have lots of energy throughout the day. They do welcome their mealtimes though, and if I'd let them, they'd be a lot fatter than they are!

Evo 95% turkey and chicken cat food!
I had a cat near death from lipidosis. He would not eat anything put before him. Our vet was "tube feeding" him just to get calories in. I stumbled on your food while attempting to find anything that my cat would and could eat. Evo had the quality and content and protein levels he needed but was also smooth enough to get in a syringe. He ate from a syringe 5 times a day for about 3 mths until he was well enough to eat on his own. We started the Evo food on a Friday and if he had continued to decline, that Monday he was scheduled to be euthanized. However, by Monday he was doing so well the visit to the vet was cancelled. It's been 4 years now and he is still thriving. The vet is still stunned that he survived. He can not tolerate or will eat any other food and it also keeps his fluid intake up as he is one of those cats that doesn't drink much water. My local pet shop stopped carrying your food and I was panicked. Luckily I found it on line. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Without you, my special cat would not be alive today.
