The product is very nice I wish there was a handle of some sort to allow the customer to open the product and close the product but it works very nice very easy to work with I like the plastics because it's not going to rust but it is kind of flimsy but I would definitely recommend the product overall

I found this product with a little online research. It is independently performance tested to with stand loads (wind) which made it an ideal choice for me on the Gulf Coast. Easy to install and met my HOA stringent standards. Packaging was great, instructions as well as online video instructions easy to follow…. Excellent product!Last week we experienced 100+ mph wind storm… the blinds held up perfectly!I rated this 4 stars due to delivery issues, NOT product quality or design.UPDATE: Hurricane Cat 1 (70+ mph wind/rain) passed directly over our home and again, this product performed flawlessly - zero damage!

I used on my deck with 1x6 cedar boards. Look great and function well allowing me to close when we need to block sun but we also found they are great to keep the blowing rain off the deck. Easy to open & close

Liked the kit overall, however it’s all made out of plastic, the brackets, the rails that hold the brackets, the piece that connects the louvers together so they all move together.I spoke with the manufacturer of this product before I did this 12’x20’ pergola and they suggested building 4’x4’ boxes on the ground, assemble to rails, brackets and the 1x6” boards that make up the louvers. Sounds good in theory but who has the 3-4 people around to lift up these boxes to attach them. I built the frames in the air and then did the rails and brackets then the boards for the louvers.It’s a little intimidating at first, but you will get the idea of how it all comes together after you do the first section.Some of the things I learned while doing this kits, you can’t screw in the brackets very tight because the louvers will be really hard to pivot. You can’t have them too lose though or else you will have a hard time getting your boards in that make up the louvers. I found I had to find the sweet spot on each one. The louvers are not difficult to turn but I would like them to tune more freely. I feel like the plastic railing that you attach the brackets to can cause the boards to bind a little bit.I do recommend this product just know it is a little tedious to install. Hopefully this review you will find helpful.

We needed to cover an 8’x8’ space on our pergola and, after reading several reviews that mentioned how sturdy these were, we decided to give them a try. When they arrived, I was surprised to see the frames were plastic- I honestly didn’t think they could support 2x6x8 boards. But to my surprise, they held up just fine.The louvers have now been through several hot spring and summer months and are still working perfectly. Installation was straightforward, but I’d caution anyone thinking of using them across a full 8’ span: boards that long are prone to warping under extreme conditions (see attached photo).Even so, the shade and privacy they provide have made a big difference in our sitting area, especially in the morning sun. We like them so much, we’re planning to install more in other parts of our yard that need shade.

As a contractor I am very particular about the products I use, very much so when it comes to new products. With some scrutiny of the manufacture's web page I decided to give it a shot and I ordered 4 total. Upon arrival, ahead of scheduled delivery date, I found only one broken bracket. I didn't bother to report to seller since I only needed 20 per section of the 22 pieces provided. Although if reported, I wonder if their customer service would send a new part free of charge or it this scenario would fall under their "not responsible" shipping clause.Their directions make it seem a bit more complicated than it should be however after a few minutes of working the "shell game" of mathematics to size things up, I was able to wrap my mind around it and things went together in a jiffy. Product is of plastic (smells like ABS when cut) which I hope it will not fail in time through UV exposure however they offer a somewhat vague warranty. We shall see! Using 5/4 cedar decking boards I installed on a horizontal at a max span of 28" roughly bracket to bracket (see pic). Prior to ordering I was apprehensive with the price of this plastic product but there is a a bit of discount when ordering multiple sets. Overall after receiving the product and installing if I believe it feels substantial and looks pretty amazing so with that said I think I will suggest this product for future business.
