Looks like a sculpture instead of a lamp
This is perfect for a side table when need additional lighting but don’t want a lamp profile. It gives enough light but looks like a craftsman sculpture.

Beautiful Lamp
I'm in love with this lamp! We wanted it for an end table between 2 love seats to add a cozy, warm light to our room. It fits the bill perfectly. The lamp is heavy, sturdy and casts a beautiful, warm, amber glow. Nothing hits you in the eye - very subtle. It's definitely "accent" lighting - as you can't use it for reading, etc. The lamp did have a VERY strong chemical smell to it - when we first put it up - but the smell dissipated by the next day (with windows opened). I used a 60 watt soft light bulb - and it casts an orangish/amber hue through the panes. Very nice!

What I wanted but needs some manufacturing tweaks
This lamp was purchased for a bedroom to provide some softer lighting. It is heavy with a nice base. Also easy to unpack and place the separate soldered glass inside. The smaller pieces of glass on the outer frame do not completely fill the allotted spaces so there is a bit of light bleeding around them. It rattles a little when someone walks by since the outer glass pieces are just sitting in the metal framework. The lamp I received also had a corner of one of these outer pieces that is chipped. The other thing is that the framework holding the glass is not level. It leans slightly to one side. I was able to position it so the small chipped glass doesn’t show and it is not apparent that the top is not level. The price was not high and I really like the amount of light it gives. It has the prairie style I was looking for.

What a beautiful, masculine lamp
We’ve always been fond of Mission style decor and whether this is intended to match that decor I’m not sure, but it does beautifully. It’s a fantastically designed and built lamp. I love Tiffany lamps and I’m really thrilled to have one that is so different from the other that we have. It was a gift for my husband, and he was delighted to receive it.

A conversation piece with a unique soft golden glow
I absolutely love this lamp! It’s not a lamp for reading or illuminating a room. It’s nothing like those other Amazon.com lamps (which I bought and also love) that can brighten up a room. It’s also not like any other lamp of it’s kind in the sense this is super heavy and solid. The glass panels on the exterior are not soldered in place like the interior glass insert. They may slightly rattle but this only adds to the charm. I’ve never seen anything like this lamp. The brown hues are masterfully crafted with varying shades and striations only available on very high end art glass products. This lamp is amazing and nothing about this lamp is cheap or disappointing. If you want quality, a warm light and a rich unique conversation piece in one package, this is a must for any location. I have it on my solid oak desk in my office/music studio. It provides just enough warmth to relax me when I’m at my desk, piano or listening to my music.

Not Bad for the Price but QC Should be Better, and is Not Associated with Original Tiffany Company
I bought this lamp because the price dropped below $150. The lamp was delivered quickly, was expertly packaged, and received with no shipping damage. Material quality is very good, but some reviewers have noted various mistakes here and there in manufacturing and assembly. And this lamp was no exception, but was not a deal breaker for me. There is nothing to assemble other than dropping in the center glass column and adding a bulb. The glass pieces are relatively thick w/smooth ripples/ridges to give them texture to resemble antique glass, and are stained from within (not simply coated). The lamp overall appears well made, is solid, and relatively heavy as the metal is not hollow. As others noted this unique artistic lamp, which can work with either a Mission or Oriental theme, or just as an artistic lamp, is not designed for area lighting or detailed tasks including reading. It’s more for ambience but can do double duty as a night light (recommend 4 watt or lower LED), and 6 watt or higher LED may provide sufficient light for simple, nearby tasks, e.g., dress/undress, get in/out of bed, get something out of a room w/o turning on other lights, see and manage things on an end table near a bed or chair, function as a hallway or foyer lamp, etc.OTHER OBSERVATIONSDefects—some reviewers indicate pitted metal, a leaning lamp, sloppy welds, glass plate(s) crooked or leaking light around edges, and/or metal paint scratches or abrades easily. What I received in Jan 2025 had none of these issues, but one vertical bar support attached to the base is a bit crooked, but not too obvious. Also, a loose wire or connection, as the light sometimes turns off and on when the cable is moved. I positioned the cable where it works properly, but I still need to take a closer look to determine if I can fix it. In addition to thoroughly inspecting the lamp for defects immediately upon receipt, look for indications it is a returned item/not new. With the variability in flaws reported you might think the product is Made in China (and you’d be right).Switch—personally, I don’t like cable switches. This switch is 18 inches from the lamp. I’d rather have a switch on the lamp itself vs. fumbling for the cord or trying to position the switch where I can get to it fairly easy while figuring out what to do with 18 inches of cord slack.Colors—one reviewer complained there are only 2 colors and not more colors as he observed in the product page image. But what you’re seeing in that image (the light is on) is glass panels with differing amounts of illumination through them, giving an appearance of related but different colors. But unlit there are no notable differences in color among glass panels. The appearance of different colors is due to bulb position in relation to varying distances and positions of glass panels up the column. Bulb type, length, and wattage can impact lamp appearance when illuminated.Bulb—for more uniformity in light emitting up the column, I use a 7.3-inch-long “tube” bulb vs. 5-inch tube bulb (you can also use a more conventional style bulb). Mine is an Edison LED (6W), 2200K and amber-colored for softer light, and is dimmable (I’m going to use a dimmer w/RF remote that also turns the lamp on and off).Price—under $150 is reasonable if you get one w/o significant issues, which seems like a roll of the dice based on reviews. I own a different “Tiffany” Mission lamp from another company on AMZ. It cost more, but has fewer reported issues (I had no issues).Tiffany Lamps—Be aware this lamp, like other “Tiffany” lamps being sold, are nothing like the originals from yesteryear with individual hand-stained/decorated glass pieces soldered together with metal, which were designed and crafted for the wealthy as they cost a fortune, some one-of-a-kind, some in limited quantities. Today’s “Tiffany” lamps often use some type resin or plastic in place of glass (some do use glass) and are not hand-painted/stained or soldered. In fact, the “glass” (if actually glass) is often not individual pieces, but larger panels made to look so. The manufacturing process is still more detailed and expensive over your typical lampshade, however. This lamp has 3 individual glass pieces on each side (if not glass they are good reproductions), and a single column piece inside that is designed to appear as multiple pieces. This column pulls out if you need more room to insert or extract the bulb. This lamp, like most if not all “Tiffany” lamps are mass-produced in China and a "Made in China" label is stuck on the bottom of this one, and my other lamp.Despite Tiffany references, these lamps are not associated with the original Tiffany company or brand. You may call it a “reproduction,” but I’m pretty sure most if not all are Not based on an original Tiffany design crafted long ago by the original Louis Comfort Tiffany who died in 1933. Perhaps “inspired by,” “like,” or “style” are more accurate terms. His son Charles Tiffany carried the company on for a while, but it appears the Tiffany family sold the company and rights some time ago and is now called “Tiffany & Company,” and today known for other luxury goods, particularly sterling silver and diamond jewelry. The name and branding are also licensed to Coty for fragrances and to Luxottica for eyewear.Good luck finding information on “Robert Louis Tiffany” associated with this lamp. Using search engines to look up the name, I could find nothing other than lamps for sale associated with the name. It appears to be a “Brand Name” that’s been registered (®) and used as a deceptive marketing strategy, going so far as to use both “Tiffany” and “Louis,” as in the one and only Louis Comfort Tiffany. The only other thing turned up was from Wikipedia: “Robert Louis Tiffany is not a widely recognized figure, and there is limited information available about him. He may be confused with Louis Comfort Tiffany, an American artist known for his work in stained glass and decorative arts.” It’s possible Robert Louis Tiffany is not even a real person, or if so, not associated with the original family or business.I’m a bit surprised when I come across a review by someone angry who was expecting an actual Tiffany lamp. Despite being rather expensive, the cost of these lamps sold today is much less than the originals. Unfortunately, today’s world is one of mass production, reproductions, faux/fake materials (leather, fur, diamonds and other gems, wood, etc.), counterfeit products, bait and switch tactics, and other deceptive business practices seemingly everywhere, especially online, to include fake ratings and reviews. There is insufficient oversight to crack down on unscrupulous companies and people, now becoming less so as Federal Agencies and regulations designed to protect consumers are being gutted at this time. Now more than ever it’s upon buyers to do their due diligence to avoid being scammed. I hope this information was helpful.
