Great monitor. I bought one from my friend
Great monitor. I bought one from my friend, then I had to get another one here on amazon for dual display setup. I use Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premier pro, and AfterEffect for photo and video editing and this monitor has 100% sRGB color gamut. So this is a good affordable combination for photographers/videographers. I also used Spyder4 Pro to calibrate it. Trust me, there is a big difference in calibration compared to factory's out of the box calibration. Just set the monitor to sRGB setting in the menu of the screen and calibrate it. Another thing is that this monitor is 1440p in resolution. There is a lot of real estate in native resolution. You could actually use Lighroom on one screen and see a large picture in details with enough room for all adjustment panels on the side. I usually use both monitors for each application, especially for video editing, but one monitor could be plenty. If you get two of these, make sure your graphics card or CPU can pull all the pixels. I used my dual setup on my Dell E6430 with i7 CPU laptop using docking station and I could feel that my CPU and graphics card were taking a big performance toll. Now I use AMD Ryzen 1800x CPU with GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card and it's just a breeze. Another reason why I got two of these, is the bezel size. Two monitors side by side, the bezel in the middle is totaling to 1.5 cm, or half an inch. I actually had to get the ruler out to measure it. It is MINIMAL and doesn't distract you when you glance from one monitor to another one.

Great monitor, questionable quality control
Awesome product, beautiful color and display. I knocked a star off because after a few months I noticed a dead pixel in the top right corner but i think it is just one. It was probably there when I got the monitor but I never noticed it. Word of advice for anyone purchasing any monitor, run a dead pixel test online as soon as you get it. It takes like 1 minute and can catch any dead pixels so you can return it before the warranty runs out. Dead pixels you might not notice at first but do later on. Mine wasn't a huge deal given 3,686,400 pixels and only one or so is dead. I'm sure I would have noticed it sooner if it was in the center or something. I literally didn't notice it for months so that tells you how nice of a display it is, it's distracting. You will spend more time looking at the environment in a game than playing it. Besides the display the whole monitor is elegant. Design is very eye friendly, long story short, it's not just a monitor that gets the job done, it will look good on your desk as well. Built in speakers are iffy but any cheap external speakers alleviate that qualm, and do a better job. They are good to have as an option though, you can take the monitor to use somewhere else and not have to load up speakers. 1440p, great color, beautiful design, internal speakers, thin bezel, period. That about sums it up.

The sturdiest and classiest 2k IPS monitor you’ll ever get at this price
I bought this monitor almost a year ago, then liked it so much that I bought it a second time to act as an extended display for doing art. So having already had one for a year, I can safely say this is an amazing monitor, especially for the price. At the time of this review, the monitor is currently $325.First off: this is not a gaming monitor. Don’t buy this if you want 120 Hz. But if you don’t care about that, this monitor does wonderful picture quality for games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Witcher 3, which are games with gorgeous scenery. I’ve had zero issues with screen tearing or graphical glitches while gaming. I’ve had no issues with dead pixels— I know some monitors will develop dead pixels after months of usage, but the one I’ve had for a year has none. The color quality is fantastic. If you’re an artist and looking for a decent-sized IPS monitor with 2k resolution to do work, this should be in your top three contenders. When I bought my second monitor, it came with a long crack on the screen. I had to send it back. For some reason, Amazon was unable to issue a replacement, so I had to get a refund and reorder it. The second monitor came in perfect condition and works great. My only complaint is the monitor is NOT compatible with a VESA mount. For me, this was fine: the base the monitor comes with is sturdy and looks classy. I know this matters for other people, which is why I put this here.

No issues.
The monitor arrived quickly and brand new. While this monitor's speakers will not compare to an expensive set of speakers and subwoofer - they ARE TONS better than any other monitor speakers I have heard. For many people, the convenience of not having to have a set of speakers laying on the desk or floor is well worth it. The monitor itself also looks great, with a thin bezel, and the extra resolution over a 1080p monitor is awesome. The monitor settings are, perhaps, not the easiest to use... but I change settings at most, once, and never touch them again so it isn't a big deal for me. For anybody looking for a monitor of this size and resolution with built in speakers, I can recommend this one.(For anyone curious, ours is connected to a Dell docking station via display port, which is connected to a Dell Vostro 7500 via USB-C).

I was hoping to get a good one, I did not!
It was a beautiful monitor until I turned it on. The focus was not good at all, very blurry. I checked the driver and Windows indicated that the device had not migrated to to an ambiguous match. I called Asus support, I was either looking for a driver or help with Windows. First he asked if I had loaded their software, not a driver, then he asked me to try it on my TV. Following that he placed me on hold and I was disconnected. Then I tried to e-mail Asus, they told me to wait on a solution. As it turns out Asus does not have drivers for this monitor. If you want an ICM file to calibrate the colors you are out of luck. Eventually they wanted me to mail the display back to the factory for a firmware upgrade. The display also had two stuck pixels after only a few hours of operation. Perhaps I missed the stuck pixels when new. Amazon support was great, I was offered a refund or another monitor. I did e-mail Asus support to tell them I was returning the monitor. This was their reply, I would like to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that the issue has been resolved. Have a wonderful day! Wow is all I have to say. I bought a competitors monitor and had it installed perfectly within 10 minutes. They supplied drivers and an ICM file. For now on I will check support for drivers before I buy another monitor.
