Highly Recommended
This was a savior during this heat wave. It cools a small or medium room quite well. It won't cool the whole house but it was great for the fam and especially the pets while we're inside watching movies. It is quiet but powerful. Easily maneuvered on castor wheels, but does not roll around on its own. It also has a great water capacity, I add a pitcher of water each morning and that's all it needs for the day. Great range on the oscillation, it's sleek design looks nice in the room, it does not take up much space at all. It's filters also take some of the dust out of the air, I feel like it is helping ease my hay fever a bit, too. (Note, I am not a doctor, butI think it helps). Easy access to all the parts that need cleaning. I highly recommend this product. I am so glad I bought it. I might get more for the other rooms and just not fix my broken AC. Nothing bad to say, it's even cheaper than similar items.

YOU GOT TO GET YOURSELF ONE!
I LOVE THIS! I use it in my12x12 size bedroom sometimes in the summer time it gets really hot in there( so far the warmest it has gotten so far is 88 degrees will update my review if gets warmer than that) this air cooler keeps my room nice and cool,my 2 1/2 year old husky loves it she will lay near it when it gets too warm on her bed on the floor my other fur baby is still not sure about it so he sleeps on the other side of the room( if you have pets they maybe afraid of it for a couple days.) I set mine on top of my old hope chest put a towel on it first because water sometimes beads up on the water container just before bed time I fill it up with 1/2 water and1/2 ice and also one of the ice packs that come with it. This also comes with a remote control I set on the night stand so I can turn it up or turn it down it has 3 speeds the highest speed can be a little loud I mostly use the first 2 speeds.

Great Product for a Warm Office
I purchased this product because my office tends to be around 5 degrees higher than I'm comfortable with. I looked around for a protable air conditioner, but since I did not have a place to vent - that was rulled out - plus they are really expensive. I read all the reviews and decided to take a chance on this product. My office is only 150 SF so the room is small, plus there is air-conditioning in my office. I am in the NorthEast so our summers are hot and humid. The Cooler is definately working and dropping my office tempurature around 5 degrees - just enough to make it comfortable. The cooler packs that they provide help keep the water cold and produces a very fine mist (I can feel it sometimes but it does not impact paperwork)The only reason I did not give the product a full five starts is that it has a small "tinkling" sound when the water is running though it's cooling process. Makes me need to "tinkle" myself.I don't think this product would work outside in the humidity in the northeast - but if you need an office or cubicle that needs a bit of cooling - this product works great.

A Pretty Fan :(
Sadly, I agree with other reviews. I live in Colorado and it’s dry here. I have an Evapolar that drops 70+ degree temps to the 50’s. But it’s a tiny unit that I use in my office on hot days when the central air doesn’t feel like enough. Anyway, I spent a good deal of time researching evaporative coolers for my bedroom. My room is above the garage and faces the western sun, so any amount of central air does nothing for me in 5k square foot home. I decided on an evaporative cooler to be eco-friendly, however, it did nothing to improve the heat in my bedroom and ensuite. Esthetically, it’s a very nice design and the small footprint was perfect. Unfortunately, all it did was add humidity to my room. I placed it in front of a window, added the ice packs, ice cubes and used another tower fan to help circulate the air/troubleshoot as stated in the owners manual. All resulted in nothing more than a slightly more expensive fan. I returned it a week later and purchased a Gree portable air conditioner. It has 3 different settings, including a “dry-air” feature that is the equivalent to an evaporative cooler. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am that I purchased this unit! I’ve ONLY used the dry-air feature because it does a better job of cooling my room than the a/c mode! I’m shocked that just by drawing the moisture from the outside, this thing drops my previous room temps of 75+, to the low 60’s, and I’m still getting the eco-friendly use I was looking for!Perhaps Luma will take these words to heart and rework the guts of the EC45S because it is a nice looking unit. Also, the video for this unit implies that the remote control stores nested on the top of the tower. This is not so and there isn't a place on the tower to store the remote. Not a deal breaker for some, just an FYI.My only gripe with any a/c unit is that is has to be fixed to a window, but I understand why, so that’s the trade-off. I got a tower model because I didn’t want the trashy look of a square window unit in a brand new home. Regardless, it’s discreet (from the outside) and does an amazing job at keeping me cool this summer!
