Easy to install. Looks very good. Unit itself feels a bit flimsy especially when dealing with 12/2 romex, but good simple mechanism to secure it in ceiling, then it is robustly in place. The face plate finish (metal and glass) is good, better than expected. They could provide bigger wire nuts instead of the tiny ones they give. I like the reduced 4" footprint, very modern, plenty of light - I used these LED bulbs:10 Pack Bioluz LED MR16 LED 50W Halogen Equivalent Dimmable 7w 3000K 12v AC/DC UL ListedBox is not air tight at all, so not particularly energy saving friendly, but you can mitigate it as you would any air leaks. My only concern upon reading reviews is about the damp rating: there seems to be some kind of seal between the metal and the glass.5 stars for now, we'll see how this holds up after a few months. If it does seal against water vapor, then it's a very good quality/value item.

High quality looking product after installation and the brushed nickel goes very well with all the other brushed nickel fixtures in my bathroom. Very simple to install. The push and click clips on this fixture to keep it locked into place are very easy to use, just pull out and they clamp right down. The manufacture gives you a round template to put on the ceiling, then trace around with a pencil, cut out the drywall and this unit pops right in. This unit is not UL approved, but IT IS CSA approved, so it is very, very safe. I actually think CSA is more stringent then UL. For those who don't know what CSA is...... Canadian Standard Association. I purchased some Romex 15 FT 14/3 indoor wire and connected this recessed light to a current fan/light in the bathroom. ***MAKE SURE YOU TURN THE POWER OFF TO THE ROOM YOUR ARE WORKING IN, OR YOU COULD SEE ANOTHER WHITE LIGHT ALONG WITH HEAVENS GATES*** So now when I turn on the exhaust fan light this new Globe Electric light in the shower comes on. It is very bright and because I put an LED bulb in, it barely uses any power.

I installed this over my tub/shower and it looks great. The picture is a little misleading in that the ceiling plate is actually polished chrome not white which is what I thought it was based on the image (the description does say chrome). My bath has polished chrome hardware so this light fit right in to the look of the bathroom. My only complaint is that the halogen bulb that is included is not bright enough. I found a great LED bulb (50w equiv) that is much brighter and works perfectly (link below). Other than that, installation was a breeze and a cut-out template is included (its actually a part of the lid of the box). Light came yesterday and went in with no issues. Although wording makes it sound like bulb is included it is not. The template is not in the box it's part of the box. I love the look and ease of install. Will post follow up if there are any issues. I installed above the shower, so I'll be giving it a thorough test.

These lights are well-built and look great. However, as many others have noted, they are NOT damp-rated. That claim is just a lie. They do not include any kind of waterproofing gasket, and shower spray could certainly get into the housing. If you didn't need to put one above a shower, they would rate 5 stars. One of the three I bought was to be located above a bathtub, and I went ahead and installed it there. But if it had been a shower, I would have had to return them.

Very heavy, came with everything you need for installation, metal is good material, my only cons is light is not bright at all and our bathroom is small, we have to install 4 of them...

The pictures and product details state this has an LED bulb. It is actually a halogen bulb. Also, there was no silicone gasket (as per the description) provided in the units I received. That makes it unsuitable for damp locations. The box clearly states this unit is not related IC (Insulation Contact). The description implies that it is IC compliant if an LED bulb is used. But since it ships with a halogen bulb (instead of the LED per the product details) that doesn't apply. Also the can is stamped steel, not spun aluminum as stated. It is the bulb cover in the trim that is spun aluminum.

These are awesome. Super price, easy install. Compare these to some costing 80 dollars or more. Nice brushed nickel finish.I use these with an LED bulb and have no problem with heat from the housing.
