Very nice, but the lights are pretty bright
I do wish I had a chance to purchase just 2-3 of these, since so far I've only used 2 of them. I already had 12v under my layout, so it was easy to plug these in and glue them down. I did find the headlights to be very bright, so I used some grey wash to darken them up. I guess the over bright headlights, in a way, are quite prototypical for many real cars on the road today. I wish I could apply some spray paint to some of those.

things to know
An amazing product for less than $20. Great highlights to my N gauge train set. I have them going in and coming out of a tunnel, so it's hard to tell these modern style cars don't match my 1960's theme.THINGS TO KNOW:1, if you use 12v DC current, they only work one way, If the light doesn't come on, swap the wires.2. I'm not sure about 12v AC3. you can dim the lights by putting a 2000 ohm (2K) resistor in series with it. (See my photo) The lights in the car have a resistance of about 6K, so that should cut it by about a third.... and they will probably last longer at a lower voltage.

Great Layout Addition
All the cars work great. They are easy to write-up. I would love to see more variety, especially trucks.

You gotta get these!
What a difference these cars make! I took all my non-lighted cars off the road and replaced them with these little gems.I have a busy downtown section so I ordered two sets. You really can't beat the price, it's like $1.08 per car. Can you imagine wiring all your cars with 4 LEDs each? It would take forever and cost more than $1.08 per car.I do have two small complaints, though, and that kept me from giving it five stars. Firstly, they're all basically the same year & model car. Secondly, there's not much variety in the colors. There are seven paint colors, but out of the 24 cars I bought, there were only 2 red cars, 2 white cars, 2 black cars and 2 gold cars. All the rest are just the other 3 colors, 5 silver, 5 bluish silver and 6 brownish silver (for want of a better name). So I'll have to arrange them so the "rare" colors have more prominent locations and I'll have to be careful not to get too many of one color near each other.By the way, I looked into taking the LEDs out of one of the "lit" cars and putting them in an N scale Corvette. It's possible but the internal wires are so fine it's very hard to remove the LEDs without breaking a wire (I ended up having to re-solder the resistor, which just fell off, breaking the wire).

Ok
Initially seem ok other than the tail lights are very bright. Can not comment on longevity at this time
