For the eleventh entry in the series, Snoopy is taking on the job of the Statue of Liberty. He's decked out in a bluish green holding a tablette in one hand a "flaming" torch in the other. He's even got the crown on his head.Woodstock, meanwhile, adds some real color. His suit is hard to see, but the red on his red, white, and blue hat really stands out.The details here are nice. The problem is the theme. Yes, I've got some other patriotic ornaments on my tree, but this one seems a little weak to me. If I were decorating for the Fourth of July, I'd love it. But from Peanuts for Christmas, I'm not sure why they did it.Yes, I like the detail. Heck, I like the ornament as a whole. But somehow my first thought is always, "Why did they come up with this one?"So it's not my favorite from the series, but it's also not the worst one they've done. I would be tempted to rate it 3.5 stars if I could.
