I needed to re-plumb and install a hot water heater and chose PEX. When you use PEX plumbing you must have a crimping tool unless you choose to pay exorbitant prices for tool-less fittings and I also did not want to pay over $60 for a tool I would likely use rarely so this one fit the bill price wise. It is easy to use and works well. I made approximately 20 crimps and had no issues with any of them. I had initial concerns about build quality but it was not an issue as the tool held up well but is not contractor grade. I will say that due to the shorter handles on this tool than on some others I've seen, it takes a bit of arm strength to close the crimp particularly in the horizontal position...but, the advantage of the shorter handles are than you can use this tool in tighter spaces. For a DIY homeowner, I recommend this tool.Update: After thinking about it and re-reading my review I believe this product deserves a bump from 4 to 5 stars.

This is a great product, especially for the price and made my world a lot easier when it came to fixing our PEX pipe. So thankful I got it. In addition, it's 1/3 of the price of the box stores.

The longer handles made it much easier to crimp 1" rings. Was using a crimping tool I purchased at the local big box store but was getting leaks. This tool crimps the rings much tighter, no more leaks.

This tool worked well.. I only used it on 1/2" pex and worked great for those clamps.

Great price and great tool. I recommend if you are doing your own house in pex!

Fast delivery and well made. Even comes with calibration guage should that ever become a problem.

Works well handled provide good torque.
