Better Than Expected
I am making portable heavy duty rope ratchet hoists that use 70 feet of 1/2 inch solid braid nylon rope . I asked the question if this rope holder could hold that much rope. I did get some great answers from other Amazon members. I thank all who replied.This Line Winder did indeed hold 70 feet of 1/2 inch solid braid nylon rope with some room to spare. Maybe could hold up to 85 feet . The holes on the 4 corners of the line winder were very useful. I was able to clamp the rope ratchet and the pulley assembly on the top holes , and secure the rope end through the bottom holes to keep it from unwinding .I have attached 2 pictures showing the complete assembly . Im very satisfied with the outcome. This particular line winder will keep my rope ratchet hoists organized.

Dog freedom line --slightly different I know
I use it for a 100' rope for my reactive dog so she can chase balls in an open field but I still have a line on her if another dog or squirrel goes by. Much easier to keep her rope free from tangles.
