Sony DCR-SX65 Handycam Camcorder (Silver) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

A nice small video camera for outdoor and indoor use. Easy to use for the novice video camera user. Touch screen is great after using buttons and cogs to get at the features of my last video camera. It takes nice still shots as well as having software that makes taking stills from video simple. Good battery life and easy availability of extra batteries. 4 GB hard drive is a nice back up. After having my HD camera die with video still on the hard drive I highly recommended getting and using the large capacity SD cards. It makes access slightly slower but really not as significant as the safety of the videos. Too bad nobody includes them with the camera. Entirely satisfied with my purchase.

the zoom is hard to manage while filming.

We have one of these camcorders and really like it so when we needed another one for work, we purchased another one.

I DEFINITELY WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! I am very economical and DO NOT like to waist money. I can count on one hand how many times I used the SONY Handycam DCR-SX65 before it completely stopped working. I was working out of the states and was unable to return the camera back to Best Buy before the 1 year warranty expired. Yes, Sony is willing to replace the camera BUT WILL NOT DO THE DATA RECOVER. Replacing the camera and not willing do the data recover is USELESS. Upon purchasing the camera, I was told that I really did not need a memory card because it came with 4 GB. NOW, I can't retrieve my wedding pictures and videos from this camera. The starting cost for data retrieval is $400 to $1200, which is more than what I paid for he camera. I paid $189 plus tax for the camera. THE WORST PRODUCT EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!

This is my first camera I've ever owned and have used it for years. The camera is very easy to use, and it shows because since this camera came out there has been 1000's of similar cameras put out even by other companies. The footage is ... well...have you ever seen the infamous big foot film? Or the Loch Ness Monster pictures? That's how the footage looks.

For the price, this is a great little camera. We wanted it for family video, quality of picture and sound is great, it is super easy to use once you read the manual. Still pictures it takes are sub par (but I am comparing that to a nice camera we have). The software that comes with it functions pretty well. If you need something to record your little ones while they are still little, this is great.

This camcorder is very good. The picture quality is good, very comfortable and convenient to operate. The zoom is fantastic and the touch screen is easy to use. It has options to change the menu in several languages. I recommend this product.

Sony products have always been great and this is no exception,easy to use I cannot complain this camera worked for me clean photos and videos.
