VIVOSUN Variable Speed Controller Cordless Vent Blower Speed Adjuster for Inline Duct Exhaust Fan

This worked perfect to reduce the volume on my new kitchen hood. All speeds now operate at a lower capacity while reducing the noise it made on the lowest setting of my hood from the manufacturer.

Works great for my pond pump to get it to pump a little less! Sturdy and dependable so far!

Attached this to a single speed fan and it worked fine. Also attached to a variable speed fan on wood stove. This fan already had an integrated rheostat, but ran too fast even on lowest setting. After plugging this in, I set stove rheostat as high as it would go, then set controller to run blower at highest speed I would need. I can now use stove rheostat to control fan at a lower speed than before. In short it works fine and when paired with an existing rheostat it can give a slower, quieter low speed

This unit plugs into the wall, and your fan plugs into the outlet on the unit.I connected my 20x20'' box fan to it in order to lower the speed setting (the box fan was spinning too loud and fast even on the lowest setting).This unit allowed me to adjust the speed of the fan even lower , exactly what I needed. Works great, no issues, looks pretty nice on the wall actually!

I strictly got it to control the Concrete Vibration Motor 30W Single Phase Electric AC 110V 3600rpm. I saw no difference in speed except when I set it to off, and that simply turns the motor off. May be this product can control only fans? Not sure.

This is a 3 amp device. I was redirected from the 15 amp Vivosun device page by the "There is a newer model of this item:" link. Needless to say I was disappointed. 3 amp is only mentioned in 2 of the graphics, it's should be a bullet point, and the "There is a newer model of this item:" link should be removed from the other page.I hooked up my Likewise 20" 0.8 amp box fan to this. While it does control the speed, it caused this fan to make an audible humming noise at speeds lower than high. I was intending to hook this up to my shopvac, but it draws 9 amps, this device is not capable.

The fan speed control works well and can be set easily with the dial, which is nice and fluid when turning. The unit seems sturdy and should last year’s. The overall construction looks to be robust and strong. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect little unit! I am using the speed controller with a 420 cfm vivosun 8 inch inline fan that does not have a speed controller on it. Gives 100% control over the fans speeds. The speed controller is fully variable. I can slow my fan down to the point where the blades are barely moving. Very happy with this product and definitely worth the money.
