Got this as a retirement gift for a fan of the Bard. Great item.

This is a very interesting little book, as it collects all the colorful insults used in Shakespeare's plays. The book is cleverly constructed so you can selectively flip three different insult categories to form a composite insult in Shakespeare's inimitable style. Many of his colorful insults were used only once in his many plays, so they would be otherwise hard to find. But they are all indexed here for your enjoyment. I admit, the subject of this book is so limited that it will provide only a few minutes of amusement. But it is unique and brings to mind the colorful language of many plays that I have not seen performed for years. So reading a few insults from this book always brings back enjoyable memories of the Bard's plays and makes me smile. That's enough for me. Also, this book rests on a coffee table of my home and announces to one and all that I am a serious follower of the Bard, but still enjoy a laugh at his often creative, outrageous and sometimes memorable quotes.

I purchased this for my grandson's 16th birthday. He's a Shakespeare fan so got a real kick out of it!

Another book I couldn’t resist

The Shakespeare Insult Generator is a great tool for anyone willing to rise to the occasion and insult another person properly. Four letter words are so low brow, when compared to the beauty and wit of Shakespeare. Each page of this three ring bound book is divided into three sections with an insulting noun, adjective, or adverb used by the bard. On the back is the definition. It is extremely fun to have verbal sparring contests with this handy booklet. Leave one out on the coffee table and see what happens - it does liven things up for sure. I would recommend buying two copies or more and having contests for most original insult. This book can be a lot of fun at parties. So don't be a slobbery, muddy-mettled dullard. Pick up a copy today and enhance your vocabulary (and your spectrum of insults).

I recently bought this as a secret santa gift for my roommate because what's better than throwing Shakespeare insults at each other during finals week? As soon as I got the package, I immediately flipped through the pages and sent some of the insults I made to my brother. I almost don't want to give it out as a gift and keep it for myself to make family Christmas parties more interesting. Overall, I think it's a great, funny gift for anybody, children and adults. And for the price, I might end up buying another one for my brothers.
