Overflow Gasket for Stopping Overflow and Tub Leaks

Good fitment and securely seals overflow tube. An easier way to seal an overflow tube without having to try and chance getting the original seal off the tube and having the possibility of the tube falling behind the tub. A little expensive between cost and shipping.

After several attempts to fix the overflow in my tub, this is the first thing that actually worked. It took about 30 seconds to install and did work with my existing plate. I did have to bend the existing tabs on the plate, but not a big deal. I probably just should have spent the extra money on a new plate.I don’t know why this isn’t carried in every hardware store and big box in the country. It is a very simple solution to what could be a very expensive problem. This $20 piece probably saved me $500 or even more. Well done!

I was dreading going through the ordeal of putting in a new gasket and am so happy I came across this solution. Super easy - for once a simple household project did not require three trips to the hardware store. It took about a week to arrive, I am glad I decided to give it a try.

My husband installed this in very little time with little to no effort. Problem is now fixed!

This gasket worked flawlessly, not a single drop of water after an extended leak test. I tried about 4 different gaskets from other manufacturers prior to this purchase and every single one leaked no matter how tight or how much putty or silicone was used.Other gaskets attach to the back of your tub, so if the back surface of your tub is grooved or uneven it's virtually impossible to make a permanent watertight seal. Even if you can achieve a seal, eventually that gasket will dry out or deteriorate over time. This gasket connects from the inside of the tub with a tube bypassing the external gasket completely and is made of a soft plastic material that I do not think will dry rot or deteriorate.One issues with the gasket is that to be large enough to seal the inside of your tub it is fairly wide. Due to the gaskets size your existing overflow drain plate may be too shallow or too narrow to cover the it fully. I chose a large single hole plate that screwed directly into the center hole of the included gasket retainer and was satisfied with the fit.The last issue is that this gasket does not include screws for the retainer bracket. I used the screws from my old two hole plate to secure the gasket to the overflow drain (with a little putty) and have had no problem.

A bit pricey but our old tub from the original house (90s) would not stop leaking causing the closet downstairs to get wet and had to remodel the area.The installation is very easy and we also bought another brand's silicone drain cover to allow for extra depth when taking a bath. After installation, I filled tub with water and let it sit and added more water to test for any leaks. A must have if you want guaranteed seal.

I found this after looking for a solution to my tub issue in a house we moved into. The plumbing was old and the fitting did not match up with newer manufactured items such as the face plate. I ordered this not really expecting much but I have been pleasantly surprised. The new face plates fit and it slides into the existing pipe which mean no more leaking. It was smaller then what I need but I bit of plumbers putty and my issues are no more. I have no idea how long it will last, some reviews say not long. But this product was exactly what I needed and I could not find anything else and I searched endlessly. It will allow me to put off tearing out and replacing the old plumbing for a good period of time.
