Fits in IKEA cabinet with modifications
Works great! I was concerned in fitting this in an IKEA cabinet but it fit perfectly in their 24" cabinet with a few modificationsFirst The space where the cabinet attaches to the ikea rail system Is right where the power is supposed to be. As we already ran the power we had to move the attachment point lower by drilling some new holes for the bracker and just attached it to the wall off the rail (IKEA provides hardware attach off rail) if we caught this earlier we would of just used a recessed outlet and had the power moved elsewhere. The second modification was having to drill new peg holes for the shelf the microwave would sit on as the standard holes left us with a 3/4 gap at the top.Third the screws to attache the microwave barley do not line up with the edges of the cabinet so we had to add a 1/4 shim for the screws to bite into. Make sure to pre drill the holes. You can see hole close it is to working in the pictureAnd lastly this microwave is 5" shorter then IKEAs so you will need a 15" bottom drawer (or 10" and 5" or 3 5" drawers) vs the IKEA standard 10". If you did the customer drill hole a 15" will 100% fit.As far as the microwave we love not having to bend down to use it. Having no carousel make what you can put in the microwave much larger then a standard microwave. The only complaint is motorized close/open can be a little slow at times.

very good intelligent purchase
We just ordered our 2nd Sharp microwave drawer. Our last one was 7 years old and we used it constantly. Worth the price. No on the counter type for us. My husband was able to install it also. Great product.

Fooled Me Three Times
Be very wary of buying this microwave oven. It gives me no pleasure to write this review, because I have been fooled three times with these products. Ten years ago I bought the first one, thought it a brilliant idea and would save kitchen counter space. That was partially true...it did save counter space. This past year I bought a third one, because the first and then the second had lasted only an average of three years. Felt I had no choice because the custom cabinetry would have a gapping hole where the microwave belonged. The third lasted a few months, purchased September of 2024 and by January of this year it was making a loud buzzing sound. Contacted Sharp and they sent out a repair service ... parts had to be ordered and three visits from the service person to get it fixed. Being as three of the main components of the microwave were ruined, I asked that instead of a repair we get a replacement. That was denied. We did not have a working microwave for over 5 weeks. March 13th the microwave blew arced, flamed and blew a small hole in its top when I had it on a one minute reheat of a biscuit. Several back and forths with Sharp, photos provided, description of the event, more than once and ultimately was told that Sharp would do nothing because it was caused by the microwave not being kept clean. The microwave was clean.Since then I have found that Sharp lost a class action lawsuit stating that certain of their microwave drawer ovens contained an issue that caused arcing through the waveguide which could cause the microwave to malfunction. Sharp paid over $103 million to class action members. There have been, also, numerous complaints to the Better Business Bureau.

Sleek, classy, convenient
And what’s more, the microwave functions properly and quietly. The various cooking options are easy to follow and match up perfectly with the results we have experienced. No more stretching upward and dragging out hot dishes from a microwave over a stovetop. Simply push Open, hum a few bars and then lift the bakeware up and onto a counter. See what you’re doing without danger of being burned. Also no danger of dropping and breaking hot dishes or the glass top on a stove. (I’ve seen that happen before.) No spills because of tipped hot dishes. What can I say? We love it.Incidentally, we had ordered the same exact Sharp drawer microwave originally from our local big box store. Every day we received an email that delivery was delayed by a day … for a whole month, and then they just canceled the order on us.When we ordered from Amazon, we were given a four-day delivery date. The microwave arrived at our door on time and was operating in our kitchen that afternoon.Love, love, love.

KB-6524PSY Sharp microwave oven drawer
This is actually a PSY, and not a PS model number. I checked with the seller to make sure it was a PSY. After speaking with SHARP's customer service, I was told that the PSY was an updated version of the PS. That is what I was looking for. I purchased a PS in 2015, and that model was plagued with issues with its Magnatron tube. We experienced the same thing a month ago...the magnatron tube stopped working..it 'popped', so I had to junk the whole $1000 microwave. I have a cabinet hole cut out in a kitchen remodel in 2015 that fis the PS, and was assured by SHARP customer service that the PSY would also fit. It does, and looks and works exactly the same. Let's hope that the PSY lasts longer than 5 years for the price. I wouldn't have purchased this same thing if another drawer microwave would fit into my cabinet hole. The PS was a great microwave when it worked, but I feel that 5 years is too short for an expensive microwave to break, one that was used only once a day max. I'm hoping that this is not another $1000 5-year investment. Otherwise, I love this microwave!
