Smells wonderful like real sandalwood, not cheap chemical smell

Not at all what I expected. I could barely get the cylindrical shipping container open before the smell became unbearable and was extremely difficult to wash off my hands. The odor I was greeted to inside the case was more of a cheap "old lady" perfume (not a hint of sandalwood) that was strong enough to stop a freight train.UPDATE: About 3 weeks ago, I received a package from Amazon and was surprised to find another bottle of the sandalwood essential oil. This time, I was very pleased to open it and smell REAL sandalwood! I'm not sure if the first one I received was just a single bad one or part of a bad batch, but by sending me an unsolicited replacement at no cost, Alphrodith has made things right. It's true you only get one shot at a first impression, but doing the right thing leaves a lasting impression.

I was nervous about purchasing this Indian Sandalwood after reading the reviews. So I decided to chance it on the 10ml bottle and I'm so glad I did. The smooth, musky scent is subtle and not perfumey - just like the sandalwood scent I fell in love with back in 1999. As shown in my photo, the bottle lists sandalwood oil as the only ingredient and it seems to be factual. I have used sandalwood fragrance oil in the past and the scent is stronger but it does not smell as authentic. I would like to order a larger bottle but other review on the larger size has me concerned, I don't want to risk it. Instead I plan to continue to order the 10ml oil. I will report back if subsequent bottles have a watered-down fragrance.

Smell was nice

This is better than expected. I dab it directly on skin then put Rose absolute essential oil on top. It , for unknown reasons, sends me into a beautiful sleep. I was a distributor for one of the essential oil companies in the U.S. for a few years . I was disillusioned that 1. I was spending hundreds of dollars every month and for the money they should ALL be organic 2. As a distributor they expected a commitment to use this as a business . 3. They were really into it for the hustle Finally gout a UK place that sells ONLY organic essential oils and dropped out as a great distributor . So when I say this small s very good, it’s from one who’s studied E.O’s, purchased from different sources, etc. ~ you’ll like it. Makes for a good base with lots of other essential oils...or wear alone.The smell of Sandalwood can varying from region to region of where it’s raised , etc. I like 👍🏼 this one as well as others!

This should be banned from selling! It's nothing like sandalwood scent, instead I would call it some kind of a "weird smelly" oil. I would definitely have asked for a refund, but since I've opened it and the wrappers weren't intact, I couldn't but I am definitely giving it a 100 percent negative feedback, so that some other customers do not lose their money on this product.

Not the scent I expected. If you're looking for the scent you get from sandalwood incense, this isn't it.That being said, this doesn't smell awful. It's like something woody, but not quite what I wanted. The scent is pretty weak, though. I mixed it with a bit of cedar and the sandalwood was completely overpowered, no matter the ratio.I still use it without any other scents as a laundry freshener (since we use unscented laundry detergent), and it's not bad for that.It's not bad enough to return, but I probably wouldn't buy this again. Either spend more on a better quality, or stick with incense.

Excellent product! The scent is just beautiful, as Sandalwood scent should be. Packaged carefully in it’s own cardboard tube for protection which is so thoughtful. We use it in our defuser and my wife an I are so impressed. I put a few drops on a cotton facial pad to keep on the nightstand and I enjoy this wonderful scent that lasts for days and days. Great essential oil at an amazing price. I have already purchased another bottle for my medicine cabinet so I can rub just a little bit on myself to enjoy when I’m out and about.
