split sleeving

High quality materials - no snags or sharp edges. Easy to install - lots of overlap so wires stay inside the wrap without needing extra velcro or zip-ties. Cords stay hidden away neatly and are not visible through the wrap. Highly recommend!

TL:DR: The 3/4 size one fits: 2 monitor power cables 2 DP cables 4 USB cables 2 aux cables With the aux and USB cables mentioned one of each is from my Logitech speakers and the other is from my Logitech gaming headphones. 2 of the USB cables are braided, with one of them being an ‘aviator style’ USB for my keyboard. I think I could probably fit 1 more USB but it’d be tight. If you have one more DP/HDMI cable (3 instead of 2) you’d probably fit 2 USB cables less. As quick reference though 1 monitor: 1/2” cord, 2 monitors: 3/4” cord and 3 monitors: 1” cord and so on, since the power and DP/HDMI cables will use the most room. Actual review: This thing is awesome! There that’s all I have to say about this thing in a nutshell. I’ve been using Velcro ‘tape’ for years for cable management but it’s always been a pain when I have to redo anything since I go pretty hardcore on the ‘management’ part of it. After one of my DP cables died and I was face to face with the annoying task of redoing my whole cable management for a single cable I decided to give this thing a try. Installation is super easy, if you can do cable management with zip ties/velcro this will be a breeze, if you HATE doing cable management you will LOVE the ease of this thing and never go back to the other way (the cavemen way) all you do is bundle your cables, grab said bundle and stick them inside this sleeve, and done. You can either pre measure the length of your cables (a soft measuring tape helps with that) or just stick the cables at one end put the whole thing in until you get to the other end (with me it was where they stick out of my desk), pull out the cables a little, cut with scissors to mark where you want the cut at, cut and then burn off the loose strands with a lighter, then out everything back in and you’re done. And it looks so clean when you’re done it’s insane how much better it looks compared to the zip tie/velcro method.

When you are running a complex harness through a vehicle like a Police Interceptor, protecting your cables from abrasion and heat is just as important as the electrical connections themselves. I used this Alex Tech Split Sleeving to organize and protect the runs for my siren, lightbar, and external camera system, and it provides a much cleaner, more professional finish than traditional plastic split-loom. Superior Flexibility and Protection Unlike the rigid, corrugated plastic tubing that often cracks over time, this braided material is incredibly flexible. It makes navigating tight corners in the dash or through the firewall much easier. The 3/4-inch diameter is the perfect "sweet spot"—it’s large enough to hold multiple 10-12 AWG power leads and smaller signal wires, but it still maintains a slim profile that doesn't bulk up the harness. The "Split" Advantage The self-wrapping split design is a massive time-saver. You can easily add or remove wires from an existing run without having to disconnect everything and fish it through a tube. It maintains a strong overlap, so once the wires are inside, they stay tucked away even in high-vibration areas. Durability and Clean Aesthetics Heat and Abrasion: The material is rugged enough to handle the friction of being tucked behind interior panels and the ambient heat of the cabin. Professional Look: It gives the entire upfit a "factory" appearance. Instead of a mess of colored wires, everything is contained in a sleek, black braided sleeve that blends into the vehicle’s interior and chassis. Ease of Use: A quick tip for a professional finish—use a hot knife or a lighter to sear the ends after cutting to prevent any fraying. Final Thoughts If you are doing professional vehicle upfitting, home theater cable management, or building out a server rack, this is an essential item. It’s a durable, high-quality solution that protects your investment and makes your technical work look top-tier. Highly recommended for anyone who takes their wiring seriously.

I bought this because my 10 week old puppy chewed through my phone charger. I read many good reviews, so chose this. Reasonably easy to work with. Cut the length you need. What surprised me, though, is the fact that each cord needed their own. It was barely wide enough for one cord. Beware if you want to put multiple cords together, you’ll need thicker.

The Alex Tech 1/4-inch Cord Protector is an absolute lifesaver for cleaning up desk clutter and protecting sensitive wires. This split-sleeving loom effortlessly bundles messy office cords into a single, sleek black tube while providing a tough, durable barrier against curious pets. Design & Ease of Use Self-Wrapping Split Design: The lateral split allows the sleeve to open up easily, let you pop the cords in, and immediately snap back into a tight cylinder. You do not need to disconnect any cables or struggle to thread long wires through an enclosed tube. Perfect 1/4-Inch Size: This diameter is ideal for bundling individual thick power cables, or grouping a few thinner cords together like a mouse, keyboard, and USB-C charging cable. Pet Protection & Durability Cat Proofing: The tightly woven, heavy-duty polymer mesh is highly effective against pets. It creates a slippery, tough exterior that deters cats and dogs from chewing, completely protecting the fragile copper wiring inside. Wear Resistance: The material is highly abrasion-resistant. It will not fray easily or break down from rubbing against the sharp metal edges of modern office desks or standing desk frames. Aesthetics & Functionality Sleek Office Look: The clean black finish instantly makes an office space look professional by hiding messy, colorful cables. Flexible Routing: The tubing bends smoothly without kinking, allowing you to route cables easily around tight desk corners, monitor mounts, or along baseboards. Customizable Length: You can easily cut the 10-foot roll down to the exact length of your desk legs or computer setup with a standard pair of scissors (just singe the cut edges with a lighter to prevent fraying). Pros Incredibly easy to install due to the self-closing split design Provides immediate, effective protection against pet chewing Instantly improves office ergonomics and desk aesthetics Highly flexible and easy to cut to custom lengths Firmly grips cables without sliding down vertical desk legs Cons The ends will fray slightly when cut unless you briefly sear them with a flame or heat source. Final Verdict: If your home or corporate office looks like a spiderweb of cables, or if you are constantly worrying about your pets destroying expensive electronics, the Alex Tech Cord Protector is a must-have. It is a simple, affordable, and incredibly durable upgrade to any workstation. Highly recommended!

I bought this with low expectations and higher cable shame. What I got was the ability to look at my desk without wincing. This thing instantly transforms a chaotic spaghetti monster of cords into a single, respectable, well‑behaved cable snake. It’s like telling your wires to “get it together” and they actually listen. Power cords, HDMI, Ethernet — all quietly bundled and no longer plotting against my sanity. The split design is genius. Open it up, shove wires in (technical term), and boom — organization. No tools, no instructions, no life coaching required. It even cuts cleanly, which made me feel oddly accomplished for someone who just wrapped cables in plastic. It’s flexible, durable, and sturdy enough to protect against pets, chairs, and your own feet when you forget where the cords are (which you will). Bonus: it instantly makes any setup look more professional, even if what’s plugged in is absolutely not. Highly recommend if you want fewer visible cords, less chaos, and wires that finally behave like adults.

This cord protector is a great way to hide cords and make your home safer for pets. I foster dogs and it was important to protect them if they become curious as they explore their surroundings. It was easy to apply the protector and provides confidence in it's ability to be effective. It attractively consolidates and hides several cords collectively.

I like this better than the plastic ones because they are: 1. a bit easier to install, 2. definately softer on your hands 3. If you only have a couple cords this will roll up a bit for smaller footprint, and you can add more cords later with ease. 4. Good quality if you melt the ends after cutting to prevent fraying. FRAYING : Check for video reviews of the type wraps. I found one that demonstrated how to melt the ends BEFORE choosing a size and vendor and making my order. I emphasize this because the leftover piece I had was fraying just from being moved around with nothing in it. Some reviews complain how quickly they fall apart. Yes they will if not melted. It is a loose open weave fabric. I think perhaps they did not read enough, or research product enough. SIZE : Others complain of size but they come in a variety of sizes. I ordered 1/2 " and I have 3 phone cords in mine. There is plenty of room which just rolls up with about a double overlap. The length does not tangle up due to size and weight of the bundle. VISIBILTY : My cords are far more visible with this product which when stretched across the room helps me to avoid tripping ! ( think poor eyesight ) Hope this helps. 😊
