USE A GREAT SEALANT!
i MADE SURE i USED A VERY HIGH QUALITY SEALANT AND SCREWING IT DOWN SO NO LEAKS WILL BE HERE! BUT IY DID IT'S JOB IN GETTING MY WIRING THROUGH THE ROOF TO GET IT TO THE CONTROL UNIT. DOESN'T LOOK BAD EITHER, SO i'M HAPPY.

Does the trick
This comes with everything you need to install, but highly recommend getting some kind of sealant to go around the edges. Although this is a very simple unit, directions would have been a nice thing rather than fumble around with it for a minute.

Simple solar wire routing.
Simple way to run solar wires. Make sure you put all the nuts and gaskets on the wires before you seal the housing.

Tight seal
We used it to run solar panel wire extensions into a greenhouse. Worked like a charm. These are apparently used to seal wires going into travel trailers from the roof. Ideal for any water tight installation. Beats trying to do it with grommets.

Uneven surface
I really like this for waterproofing the entry hole into the side of my truck camper. I am putting this on an older camper with uneven metal siding. I am inserting the cables through an old RV cable TV jack hole. It’s on the side of the camper. I will use butyl tape, my heat gun to soften the plastic to mold to the camper skin, and maybe rivets in lieu of the screws where appropriate. I love my electric rivet gun but will work to line this up up with a wood stud. I may drill an additional hole or two for extra adherence. I will run caulking around the edges to make sure no leaks from the uneven surface can occur.I already have one of these on top of my horse trailer I had insulated and used for camping. I have two 100 watt solar panels on top to feed the batteries and a 1500 watt inverter. This unit help assure me that at least one of the many holes from the panels in the roof would be secure from leaks. The prior experience with that successful install gave me the confidence to add this feature to my camper solar installation.

Will be using for all my Solar connections going in and out of my Sheds and Shops
I do not have an RV but these can stop moisture and sure do stop bugs. Great for Solar wiring and worked well to go from inside to outside my little shed.
