Outstanding!
I wanted to install overhead storage in my garage to free up some ground space, but the garage door opener track made it hard to buy the 8x4 ft rack. Fleximounts sells a 6x4 ft which is perfect. I bought 2.Installing them has easy despite some challenges. My ceiling has joists 2ft apart running perpendicular to the garage opener track. If I wanted to position the racks the way I wanted to, I had to install the brackets parallel to the garage opener track and perpendicular to the joists. There was also the door to the attic that had a frame around it that was in the way of mounting a bracket on the joist. I didn't want to cut it so I move that 1 bracket over. The brackets are long so it gives you more flexibility to install them to fit whatever spacing you have. The racks are durable and well constructed. The grated shelves are sturdy. And the price was very low. There's enough storage space that it freed up my garage floor. They look great and I highly recommend these.

Excellent and better than competitors
This is the 2nd garage rack i put up myself with minimal help. First was a new age. Superficially they resemble each other but i think the fleximount is much better and easier to put up even if it costs a few dollars more. The brackets on fleximount are large and can span two joists. The key to putting these racks is getting the lag screws into studs. Its quite difficult finding studs while perched on a ladder. I bought 3 different stud finders including some expensive ones like franklin one. But none are perfect. Maybe best is the cheap magnet one. If you miss the stud you can move over a hole on fleximount and you can try it again. On a small bracket you have to move everything and pray you're going to get lucky. Spacing out the brackets 4 feet apart isnt too bad but if you mismeasure, you can adjust the vertical hanging bracket without moving the ceiling mount. Just move the vertical bracket over one or two holes and youll be fine. You still have to space the other brackets 6 feet away or 8 feet away depending on your rack. That isnt easiest measuring a distance on the ceiling. But at least you can get the width done without too much trial and error.I have two criticisms. The instructions are too basic. One key point is getting the hanging vertical bracket that the rack fits into properly oriented. There is a bottom piece of the vertical hanging bracket that the rack fits into, You need to pay attention to the small diagram to get the orientation right or the rack wont fit. They should magnify that diagram. The rack itself is 3 or 4 sections screwed together which means you put it down as one large piece but it is too heavy for one person at that point. You will need two people to lift and fit the rack on to he hanging bracket while climbing two ladders simultaneously. At least thats what i did. Other brand designs would allow you to put one section at a time so theoretically you could do it yourself. All in all i did this fleximount rack in 1/4 amount of time that i spent on a new age rack. I recommend this model even though you can find a cheaper brand. The hardware included was sturdy. Instructions were marginal. If you're nervous about trying to install yourself get the smaller 4x 6 feet model since its more forgiving in terms of measurement.

Just as expected! Lots of storage space
The racks feel secure and hold lots of storage items. Initially, installation was challenging since I have a high garage ceiling, however the assembly was simple and easy. It looks great and I’m very pleased!

Exhausting to install, but good product
This was exhausting to install. It took the 2 of us 3 sessions of work 1-2 hours. The shelf is good though, it is sturdy and is adjustable.

Great Product!
The product is sturdy and helped me get a lot of clutter off my garage floor. It was reasonably easy to assemble. The biggest challenge was lining up the initial brackets to the ceiling. Once that was completed the rest of the assembly was a breeze.

Okay to install, great to use. Worthwhile investment.
I bought and installed two of these storage mounts above my garage door by myself. I’m not a handyman, but usually take on projects myself, with the assumption I will have some hiccups. I can say it took me a while to really prep the space, find the right point in the joists, measure while on a ladder, all on a 10 foot high ceiling. The first took me about six hours total, moving through steps carefully and remeasuring. I did have some challenges with the latter steps - connecting metal braces along the long sides of the shelves. The metal was bent and it took an extra pair of vice grips to will the metal into a position where set screws could be screwed in. Other than than that, all went well the first shelf - though I wish I had help to get it the shelf attached to the hanging brackets. The shelf isn’t too heavy but big and awkward, especially trying to ensure it would sit safely in brackets well above my ahead. So if you have someone who can assist, all the better. I did these in the evening after my kids went to bed and took on as a solo job.Being familiar already and some positioning on the ceiling already established, the second unit only took me about 2.5-3 hours to fully measure out, assemble and install. I’m sure some greater time efficiencies could have been realized if I had a third to install. Everything was easier for the second shelf.I did not have any issues with the screws as other people have had on here. I just have two fully stocked shelves creating tons of floor space in my garage filled with kid stuff, decorations, etc. very happy with the purchase, overall.

Even if you're not handy
I was very happy with these. They are sturdy and fit very well in the garage. I bought this and it was solid and helped clean up the garage tremendously. It takes a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it and the right tools, it's pretty easy to assemble and install (i'm not a handy man). The 3x6 shelf can be raised on your own, the wire part is the heaviest piece but this one is manageable with some bungee cords and will power

Great storage, little bit of a wiggle but with reinforcements, it works like a charm
Bought this for my garage. Christmas and Halloween decorations storage instead of laying on the floor. The installation was easy (because i'm a DIY handyman.. otherwise, make sure you mount this properly in the studs or trusses). The bracket requires you to install about 1/2" from a wall so it may be a bit wiggeling. I added a 1x3 behind the tracks and it did the trick just fine.I would recommend this to anyone wanting that extra wasting space above your head!
