Works great
I bought this to mount some parts onto and make it drive around. It was easy to assemble and works with ESP32 and Arduino.

Great Value
I had no problem with the kit. I put it together and everything worked. I would recommend this for toy robotics fun.

Lots of undocumented slots
Nothing challenging about assembling since the design is a clone of an industry standard. Lamentable lack of design change (through the years) for the encoder wheels (not being used for my current project, of course). Not much thought given to better mounting for current SBC boards. While it is easier to get started with DC motors, perhaps a little more elbow grease on using Servo motors may be more productive for "junior" students wishing for more precise control of the wheels.

Works perfect for my robot
Awesome build quality. Soldering wires onto motors was nice and easy. My first little robot I'm designing. Everything fits on the chassis so far. Everything works like it should. Perfect to get into building robots or anything. I've put 9v into the motors and havent had any problems. They do move pretty fast Haha.

Wrong screws for the battery holder
The screws for the battery holder are not flat-top screws, and therefore AA batteries will not seat correctly in the holder. It is very poorly tested in this respect, and somewhat annoying. I ended up using a 2x 18650 battery anyway (for Raspberry Pi to have enough juice), but I initially had to fix the 4x AA battery holder with velcro. The other parts are ok.

Value for money
I used this kit for one of my grad projects. After assembling, it never came off . The motors for the car are of good quality too

Disapointed
The 2 gearmotors are very different in friction, one is smooth and rotates normally, the other is noisy and almost a grinding noise in it. I never could make the car go straight. On the same one the wheel is just flying off. Unfortunately I cannot return them since I soldered decoupling capacitors on them. The red wire on the battery holder was interrupted, so I had to replace it. Really bad quality control. I would not buy it again.

Great price but lesser quality
The inflated rubber wheels do not offer an accurate alignment and robot car will gradually move to either the left or right while gradually while moving forward or in reverse. However, for the price it is hard to complain.
