Got 4 For Tiny Home Solar Setup- Bad/useless After 2 Years
I put 4 of these 200Ah aAGM batteries in series (48v) hooked to solar controller Inverter. They performed so so for 2 years. They never provided much nighttime power during colder months. The price of LiPO4 batteries was way too high, so I went with these. Unfortunately, after my refrigerator compressor shorted out, the batteries are very erratic and the voltage plummets within an hour of darkness. I have an advanced all in one 5KW solar controller converter inverter, so when the fridge blew (loud pop) the system cut all current flow, but the NPP batteries experienced just enough huge current draw to screw them up. At first the batteries seemed unaffected but after 3 weeks now they are degraded to the point of being basically useless.
