Nice Tool, easy to do a good job the first time you use.
I like this product. It was recommended to cut the plastic valence in the rear bed of my car to be able to add a spare tire. I am not sure why a spare tire was not included with the original car purchase but it wasn't. I have used many tools before and am somewhat of a handyman; right out of the box the Rotozip was very easy to use. I was able to easily cut the plastic valence and make room for the spare tire. The motor is substantial and quickly revs up to a high RPM. The on-off switch Is excellent and very easy to use. It is on the top and you slide it up to turn on and push back down to turn off. This makes using the rotozip as a mini-router or a a "spiral saw" very easy to control and work with. The setting, similar to a router, allows you to adjust the depth of the cut.

Works well for free-hand cuts
Works well enough. First bit broke on me though during the third cut. Lucky this item comes with 2 bits.

Just as good as new!
This product both functions and appears as new. Definitely saved a lot of money buying refurbished. Hopefully it will have a long life.Using this to cut out can lights and electrical boxes on drywall and it has proven to be a huge time saver and it is easier to make cut outs vs a drywall saw.

Better than expected
I installed recessed lighting in my kitchen. The Rotozip was the perfect tool. Easy to use & functioned beyond my expectations. Highly recommend the Rotozip.

So good, you'll want to spend all day cutting holes in drywall
Power tools are fun, but honestly for sheer joy of operation I think a Rotozip is up there. (My friend has a demolition hammer which he says is amazing when you go to town on a tile wall. And those little garden tractors are wicked fun to drive around. But other than that...) It just eats through drywall like a champ, making a super precise little line and puffing out its cloud of dust, and you just happily roll it along your marks (or around the outside of a box, or along a stud, or whatever) and then pop out the piece and just admire how pretty and perfect everything else. (When's the last time you used words like "pretty" and "perfect" when cutting drywall?)There are other tools in this category ("spiral saw" is the generic term) but Rotozip is kind of the pioneer and probably still the best in terms of clean tight operation. If only they had a cordless version.

Excellent tool
Can use this to cut circular holes in drywall and other materials. I use it with a diamond bit to bore holes in ceramics and to debur the edges of metal that has been cut with a saw.

OK
I have an older model, maybe 15 years old?? I use it with a 3" cutoff disk for metal. The old one runs hard with good torque. The new one runs at the same speed as my old one, but bogs down when pressed against metal. Once it bogs down I have to wait for it to get to speed again before using. Frustrating, but it does do the job
