Appears to be genuine Samsung - longer recharge time than original
This battery is almost identical in appearance to original battery that came with my S5 – I have no reason to believe that it is not a genuine Samsung replacement part. I can detect no difference in run time between the new battery and the original. This battery does take longer to charge than the original battery - going from 50% to 100% takes 105 minutes for the new battery –vs- 75 minutes for the original battery. This battery also lacks the moisture detection strip recommended by Verizon. Before purchasing, I read dozens of negative (sub-3-star) reviews for several different replacement batteries. Over half of the negative reviewers imply that their phones don’t work as long on a single charge and attribute that to the battery. The more likely problem is that current applications are more complex and perform more functions (such as location checks). As technology advances, the phone is simply working harder, especially with an older phone like the S5. I would like a little more battery life and plan to try one of the after-market 3200mAh batteries.

Not a New Battery
Rec'd battery and it had only a 14% charge on it. Charged it overnight, and within two hours of very minimal use it was drained over 25%. Not a NEW battery. Has been returned and will not order anything from them again.

Does not perform like OEM
This battery causes my Galaxy S5 to constantly restart, occurs more often when under load; voltage issue? The phone will only stay on without issue if I keep the charger plugged. So, it's essentially useless. My 4 year old battery works fine so I will likely ask for a refund.

Battery Headache once again!
This battery is no better than the one I've had for three years. I thought battery would last at least for one day...all I do is text and review my mail. However, I find myself charging it up to three times a day! Just like my three year old battery.Exstreamly disappointed! !!!

Samsung replacement battery more than I hoped for
I have been saved! I dropped my galaxy S5 into water, and pulled it out in within ten seconds, but as I learned from you tube, I made the mistake of trying to turn in on. The screen tried to come on, and then faded to black, then nothing again. I took out the battery, which showed pink, and tried to suck on everything with a wet vat. Did not try the rice thing. Then went to store and got another, but all my contact information, texts, and photos were gone, I thought. I let the phone air dry for a week, not hoping for much, and finally decided to waste some money on a new battery. It arrived in two days, with already an 80 per cent charge. Put it in, charged more, held my breath, and turned it on. The phone came back to life with every memory intact. It seems like new, and even seems faster than before. Now I have to decide which galaxy to use, and will start backing up to cloud. This new battery arrived in perfect condition.

Not an acceptable replacement
I purchased this as a first-time replacement of the factory for my Galaxy S5. My S5 is a refurbished unit and is now about 3 years old. I am not a heavy user, not surfing the net or reading emails though out the day, most of the time my phone is on vibrate and sits on my desk at work. The original battery would last at least a full day. I would charge it every night and the one or two times I forgot to do so, it would still have enough power to get through the morning before charging. In the last few months, the original battery started need a charge in the evening (down to maybe 30%) and I decided to replace it.The new battery will run out of charge before the day is finished. It actually discharges before the old battery does (down to 10-15%), even with no use at all during the day. I am currently doing some research to find a reputable source for Samsung batteries, but I am not sure I will trust the batteries from Amazon.

Phone was a refurbished phone that was purchased through the stupid insurance that is required by the phone company when on a payment plan, you would think that the battery would be a new one or at least one that is in working order however the phone kept freezing and shutting itself off and the battery would not hold a charge, if I could even get the phone to charge at all so I decided to take a chance on ordering a new battery to see if that would make a difference in the phone and it worked, my phone charges completely, I only have to charge it about every other day, .and my phone no longer just shuts off for no reason, very good buy and definitely worth the money.

Poor Charging Life
I would definitely not recommend this product. I have been using this battery since the item was received. For maybe one or two days, the battery held the charge throughout the day. However after more usage, this battery doesn't hold the charge well at all. By the end of the day, the battery has less than 30% battery life left. I always charge the battery fully at night and then by the end of the next day, it has very little charge left. Very disappointed in the product charging life. During the day the cell is not used much, other than to check for e-mails periodically. Very few or no actual calls are made from the phone during the day.
