I love these bins! Just plain love them. I bought my first 4 over 15 years ago at Lowes when I was putting Edsal shelving around all the walls of my basement. I soon decided that they looked too good and were too versatile for just the basement, so they migrated to other rooms in the house during successive remodels. And they they have worked hard and looked great in every room of my house while doing it! And also just holding the essentials of life between remodels (they have a semi-permanent spot in my office at the moment where I really enjoy using and looking at them). When I decided to tackle the last room in the house, I decided to look for more of these. And I found them here on amazon for a slightly better price than I paid 15+ years ago! Can't beat that. So I couldn't resist, and frankly, I needed their help just to keep the few shreds of sanity I have left. (Those of you who have remodeled old houses understand what I'm talking about. When you get to the last room, you are just so needing to be DONE.) When they arrived (very fast, 2 days, thank you amazon prime!), I couldn't help but compare them to the originals. They are virtually identical except for the originals' soft matte "bloom" that zinc shows over time, and the fact that I think they are using a slightly lighter gauge metal these days. Otherwise identical! They were in great shape, no shipping damage, I only noticed one minor defect on one of the bins: there is maybe a 1/4 - 3/8" hole in one of the bottom corners where the two sheets of metal were not quite joined up properly. It won't be a problem for my purposes, and the others were perfect, so I am keeping it. They have the sleek, shinier look of new galvanized metal and no sharp edges on the vents as other reviewers have mentioned. The corners are only just slightly sharp, so be mindful. But the company has solved that problem. I put them to work immediately, and am very happy to report that they are doing the job just as well as their original counterparts, and looking just as stylish while doing it. When you turn them to the side in a narrower shelving situation so that you don't see the vents, they look a bit more sleek. Frankly, I like them both ways. And I'm always surprised at how much stuff they hold. They took care of my mess pronto. Frankly, I can't think of a comparably priced option that will give you this much bang for the buck. And the originals have stood up to everything I've put them through in over 15 years with no signs of wear - at all. Depending upon the surface where you plan to use them, I'd advise adding the felt self stick pads on the corners. And the potential scratching problem is solved. I would have to count these among my best purchases - ever.

I am so impressed with these galvanized bins! After reading some reviews, I was hesitant to purchase but I'm thankful I did. These bins are a perfect size to store high volume wares or bulky items. The metal, while light, is not flimsy. I love the corner vees that add protection to the already rounded edges. I added adhesive pads to the bottoms to protect the surfaces where the bins will be placed. The opening for your hands is also rounded. My set had no dents and was well packaged. There is styrofoam throughout the packaging. The finish is exquisite and real unlike some of the duller finishes out there.I've achieved the look I was going for in my laundry room and will use the remaining bins in the pantry. I will purchase an additional set if I can find the need. Great buy!

These bins are solid and will definitely stand up to the beating they're likely to get over time. Love the retro look too! We use some of them when camping to hold outdoor toys and other equipment and also in the garage for sports stuff…balls, helmets, etc. I added some felt feet to a couple that I keep in my craft room, so they can slide w/o scratching the wood floor. The edges are a little sharp, so be cautious when moving new ones around.At first I thought I'd ordered too many -- how would I ever use 6 of these? but they all have a home now and look great --don't need to hide these in a closet! good on the floor, on an open shelf or stacked up perpendicular to each other to save space. Highly recommend!

These are very attractive and well-made. I would not recommend for use where they’d receive a lot of banging around, as the metal is on the thin side. I plan to use these indoors only. The corner reinforcement pieces help stabilize the rim, and pop right on. That’s basically the only assembly. They were extremely well packaged and arrived in perfect shape. Love! If they were a bit sturdier I’d rate higher.

I love these guys - they're sturdy, durable, endlessly useful and look pretty darn cool for a utility bin. This is my second set, bought the first about 4 years ago and they're still in great shape. The shiny finish does fade to a matte over time...but who cares? It's a utility bin. They come with plastic corner protectors. Don't do what I did and throw them away. The corners are hard/sharp enough to gouge walls, furniture and people.

I absolutely love these metal bins. They go in my office as I have an industrial setting in it.The brushed steel look is a nice look. They hold tons of my marketing pamphlets and give aways. They are a hell of sturdy. Similar sized ones at lowes or ikea are the same price, but aren't nearly as sturdy. I was kind of miffed that I had to order six, but I found many other uses for them around my house. These are an incredibly great value and design.

Great price but ALL of the corners are DANGEROUSLY sharp. Good thing we kept most of the black plastic shipping corners it came with. Both my Son and I got scratched (a few times breaking skin) before covering up the corners (temporarily). Keeping the corners on aren't an option. 1. Their ugly and stand out. 2. They come off too easy. 3. That's not what I wanted.I decided it will be more economical to file down all of the corners. To send them back (even with free shipping) would cost too much trouble to empty, re-pack and transport to the post office.They were the largest and cheapest around and do look great! They seem to be well built too.I only gave 3 stars because I MUST file down all 120 corners. That's 4 corners x 30 bins. (We're redoing our garage and storage room.)

Most stuff you buy anymore is cheap and flimsy; not these. They are a great value and quality.. Very multipurpose

I use these bins for extra storage on top of my kitchen cupboards, as I needed sturdy bins that were not too heavy. I like the look of them, much nicer than a plastic bin, and a lot stronger than all of the decorative bins out there. They work great and can hold a lot of weight, but you probably wouldn't want to over fill them.You do have to be careful with the sharp corners and bottom riveted edge, it could potentially scratch a nice surface when moving them around. I put duct tape underneath on the bottom edge so it would not scratch the top of the cupboards.
