My new favorite pencil
Beautiful pencil.I bought it a while back, but only started using it heavily during my spring 2016 semester. It actually made writing fun again. Not even my fountain pens could compare to the smoothness of this pencil - it not only made taking notes easier, but smudged less (I would assume it's due to the special lead provided) and allowed for far more legibile notes (my handwriting is pretty bad, and while this pencil didn't fix it, it did help with legibility in the long run).I can't comment on the engineering of the product, but I can say that everyone who I shared this pencil with was thoroughly impressed by it, and many actually purchased their own after experiencing it.Finally, and the true testament to my love for this pencil, this is the only pencil that I haven't lost yet. It may not seem like that much of an achievement, but I'm a very disorganized person. Most pencils in my possession last days, maybe weeks at most due to a combination of my disorganization, and my habits of unconsciously bending pencils on accident. The kurutoga, however, has lasted me for an entire semester, and appears to be capable of lasting me for a far longer time. And, more surprisingly, the quality of this pencil has also given it such an importance in my mind, that I actively keep my pencil case organized to protect it.If that's not a testament to the greatness of this pencil, I don't know what is.So go ahead and try it out. It's not too expensive, especially considering the happiness and straight, perfect lines it brings.

Great Mechanical Pencil
I love stationery and I have high standards. I also have problems with my wrist. So, when I decided to go back to school for an engineering degree, I started a quest to find a pencil that I could use for my math courses. This pencil is it. Unlike other pencils, there is no need to rotate the pencil to use the lead. Instead, the pencil does it for you which is very handy for long sessions. The pencil is well-balanced and comfortable. I find that I can write for longer and with less cramping with this pencil than with other models I have tried. My only gripe is that sometimes the part of the pencil that rotates becomes loose and needs to be tightened. Even with this flaw, this is a great product.

Great Pencil With One Major Issue
Pros:+ Proprietary lead turning mechanism keeps pencil leads sharp+ Comfortable and light- weight (may be too light for some)+ Barrel isn't too wide (personal preference)+ Smooth lead extraction+ Feels well constructed+ Includes eraser cap+ Aesthetically pleasing (personal preference)+ Good value for the price (personal preference)Cons:- Gnarled grip has no real hold; feels almost smooth- Not all metal- Small , mostly useless eraser- As lead stick is nearing its end, the rotating mechanism doesn't spin the lead (major flaw)For the price, the Kuru Toga Roulette is a very good pencil. It is lightweight, yet doesn't feel overly cheap. The proprietary lead rotation system will keep your lead sharp so you never really have to rotate the pen as a whole. There is ca caveat with this though, and it's a major flaw in my opinion. As the lead stick gets shorter, the the rotating mechanism no longer holds the lead properly. As such, the lead will not sharpen, but in fact, will lose it's hold on the lead. At this point, the lead will flatten on one side, and it will freely rotate to the flat side whenever used. In other words, it will remain on one side of the lead (creating a flat sided instead of a point) all the way until a new stick of lead is extracted or it is pulled out manually (which it will do with ease since nothing is gripping it). This wastes a decent portion of the lead. I know this may not make much sense as written, but just imagine the lead without anything gripping it that just can't be sharpened by rotating the pen while writing.

Great writing instrument
I do really like this pencil. The tactile sensations when holding and writing with the-pen are clearly much nicer than the base model. I also find the balance in the hand is improved. The pen writes consistently fine lines, and the lead rotation feature does seem to work most of the time, Occasionally, it does seem momentarily stuck, but that is rare.only on larger words in script, or if I am writing extremely quickly and small fonts. It almost feels like it cannot keep up. This is only meant as a point of fact, as it does not detract from the writing experience at all. I do find the branded lead appears to give a finer line and a smoother feel, than other leads and this is surprising. I have not tried the lead with other pencils, yet, so I cannot tell you how much that effects the experience.I still like writing with my Kerry because the feel oof the pen is nicer with its additional heft, but this is a great pencil. Highly recommended. rrh

The last mechanical pencil you will ever need!
This pencil is incredible! I have never used or owned a mechanical pencil that works so well. The description tells about inner-working of the pencil and how it rotates the lead so you do not get a chisel point. Guess what? It works! The lead is always ready for you. The pencil is weighted just right. It feels good in my hand and I can write for extended periods of time without getting fatigued.

Love this pencil
Exceptional pencil. Easy to use and good. Lead does not break which for a 5mm is often the case. Smooth writing and enjoyable.

Good pencil
The kuru toga roulette mechanical pencil is perfect for my needs. I write a lot of equations and the pencil not going blunt on me is a godsend. The only flaw is when drawing diagrams with long strokes, since the revolving mechanism doesn't activate, it gets blunt, but after a few letters the pencil is back to normal again.
