Charley Harper: The Sierra Range 1,000-piece Jigsaw Puzzle

Nice puzzle for nature lovers. Fairly easy.

We purchased this puzzle for a Thanksgiving activity. Managed to finish it in two days. It was appropriately challenging, and a beautiful puzzle to view. And, when we finished, there was an extra piece! Does that mean someone else finished their puzzle with one less piece? we have done other Charlie Harper puzzles in the past and never had an extra piece. This was a pleasant and interesting surprise!

Great quality and very challenging. I loved putting this together. The pieces don't stick super well together, which can be annoying at first, but once you get further, it's less of an issue, and disassembly is easy. I also like that there's a thicker plastic bag inside so you can store the puzzle and not worry about pieces flying out in case the box opens. It's the little things. Lastly, the illustration is beautiful, but if you are familiar with Charley Harper, you probably already knew that.

Right out of the sealed plastic packet, everyone locates the edge pieces first. When I could only find three corner pieces, I became concerned. Also, a very small piece fell out of the bag. As it turns out, the small piece was actually cut off of a larger puzzle tile. The knobs are too close together and the puzzle design is inherently weak. The fourth corner was, indeed, missing - along with four other pieces all together in one corner. I love this artist and the puzzle pieces fit together nicely but these are problems that should be avoided if the puzzle is to be acceptable.FOLLOW UP: The publisher has been very good in responding to my issue and has replaced the puzzle. It may be a little while before I can do the puzzle to see if the replacement is better than the original but I am pleased that the publisher seems to care about customer service. Thanks!

We have done a bunch of Charley Harper puzzles - maybe 4 or 5? This one we loved because it was a bit more challenging than some of the others. Thick, well made puzzle pieces (cut well). I did this with my 8 year old puzzle fiend, and we both enjoyed the process and being able to “study” some Charley Harper art along the way. I hope someday we can say we have done all of his available puzzles. :-)

Many pieces has light fixing on them which in the dark areas is distracting. I'm a Charlie Harper fan so I'll buy the images I like but wasn't overly impressed with quality for the price.

Pomegranate puzzles are very good quality in every way. Beautiful art images, great print reproduction quality. Sturdy , tight fitting pieces, challenging but not frustrating. Excellent all around. After we completed this one we traded with friends for another Pomegranate puzzle (Tibetan Mandala) we had the same experience with the new one and so did our friends.
