Speck Products CandyShell Grip iPhone XR Case, Ultraviolet Purple/Ruby Red

I am a creature of habit and loyal to brands I like. When I finally upgraded my IPhone 6s to the XR, I went to search for the exact same Speck case I bought years ago. I didn't find it (pink and gray with soft durable rubber feel) but am pleased with the case I did find.I have not dropped my phone since putting on the case (which was easy to snap in). I love the rubber grips. The bright colors and contrast make it easy to find among all the mess that comes along with "mommy brain" and being a over-tired parent to a toddler and newborn. Before purchasing the case, I was constantly losing my black phone.I also appreciate that Speck is affordable via Amazon compares to other protective, drop-resistant cases.

Great case. I had one for my phone in white and black that worked really well, saved me when I dropped it a few times—no damage to screen or phone. I bought a clear Speck case for new phone, which is great so far, but my mom wanted a grip one like my old one, so we found this. She loves it, feels secure with it in her hands, and can now safely let my shaky-handed dad use her phone, too.The reason I stick with Speck is simple: the case works. Not too hard or soft, good shock absorption when the phone drops on the tile floor at work, and the bezel comes above the screen by enough to really protect it, unlike a lot of cheaper, similar looking cases. I don’t need something bulky like an OtterBox, which is probably definitive when it comes to a deep bezel, but this is a practical, yet stylish looking case that doesn’t make my super-thin phone feel like a brick.

Today my phone crashed and burned putting my screen protector and this case to the test.The glass screen protector shattered, so I took everything off to check for damage. None. Zero. Ziltch. This case is *chef’s kiss* fantastic.I have the iPhone XR which is pretty much just all glass front and back. This little piece of luxury has given me anxiety about shattering it since I promised the Verizon salesman that I “didn’t need the insurance”.The case is nice. Well made, grippy, and stays clean. Most importantly though, it’ll keep your phone shatter-free. Can’t ask for much more.

This is a great phone case. I didn't have high hopes, assuming it wouldn't be all that protective considering it's less than fifteen dollars. However, to my dismay, I am loving this phone case. It's now been a few months since I switched from my last case and I have not had a single crack, nor has the case started to deteriorate. On the other hand, I do see a few potential spots on the case that aren't as secure as a heavy duty phone case such an otterbox, in which the glue holding these pieces together seems to have a not-so-sticky future ahead. If you are to take anything away from this review: buy this case if you're looking for a cheap, yet effective way to protect your iphone's screen.

I spent a lot of time searching for a sturdy cell phone case after I upgraded to the XR. I take good care of my phones and rarely drop them, but considering the cost of the XR, I wanted an affordable but super effective case to protect it. I have used SPECK in the past and was pleased, so when I finally found this case, I was thrilled. I like the bold colors (pink/purple), the very grippy texture, the raised bezel in case the phone falls face down, and how it fits my phone like a glove. WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN! The case adds a little bit of weight and bulk to the phone, but I can still slide my phone into and out of my back pocket without issue. Highly recommended product to protect a very expensive investment :)

This is one of Speck's best phone cases because of several reasons: it is durable with a great grip. The holes for the charger, speaker and another small button are small enough to protect from too much of debris or water getting inside. I have had no issues with charging my phone with the case on.The only two small complaints I have is the case is very bulky and heavy because this is for an iPhone XR (bigger size). I plan to try another Speck case to see if that helps reduce the weight of it. I also noticed the shiny part is starting to get a little scratched even if I am typically careful with where I place my phone. So just be aware that it will show some wear over time even with normal usage.If you are someone who is looking for something that will withstand drops, doesn't slip out of your hand easily, and has smaller holes for the openings, this phone case is for you.

I’ve had Speck phone cases in the past….and have loved them! Imagine my excitement when I find one at 1/4 of the price I’ve previously paid😃😃😃! It’s not too bulky, but it is still super protective! I also love the little grippy lines on the back of the case…they make it so much easier to hold on to your phone. Also, the front of the case is a little higher than your phone screen…I think that is what keeps your screen from breaking if you stop the phone face down! Anyway, I love it and will definitely by more in the future!!

I wasn't shopping by appearance, I wanted some grip for a phone that is much larger than I'm used to. Going from an iPhone 5s to an XR was a big jump in size and most cases available are simply slick plastic or poor quality silicone that does nothing to protect the phone.The Speck case is a shiny, slick plastic main body, with added gripping rubber stripes and edging. Basically, you cannot grip the phone when using this case without coming in contact with the grip material. There is a decent raised edge on the front so putting the phone face down on a table means the screen isn't touching. It does not add much bulk, so that's nice. I selected based on price, not appearance; so I have the funky blue/purple and maybe coral?It isn't an eyesore; and the coloring does make it easier to find. This color combination tends to be cheapest here on Amazon, so if you only care about function over form; don't be afraid of the color.

This is really attractive, but more importantly, seems very sturdy, but light and not bulky. Good raised edges to protect screen and camera. Haven’t used it, since the phone is a Christmas gift( not opened yet!), but so happy that it arrived a week earlier than expected!
