I’ve been using the Bissell 2252 CleanView Swivel for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed with its performance. For the price, it delivers powerful suction that easily picks up dirt, pet hair, and debris from both carpet and hard floors. I have two dogs that shed constantly, and this vacuum has made daily cleaning so much easier.The swivel steering is a nice touch—it glides around furniture and corners smoothly, making it more maneuverable than I expected from a full-size upright. It also has edge-to-edge cleaning, which helps capture dirt that typically gets missed along baseboards and corners.Emptying the dustbin is super simple and mess-free. Just pop it out, dump it, and click it back in. The washable filters are also a bonus and save money over time. I also appreciate the included tools, especially the turbo brush for cleaning stairs and upholstery.Overall, the Bissell 2252 is lightweight, easy to assemble, and surprisingly effective for everyday cleaning. It doesn’t feel cheap, despite the affordable price. If you're looking for a reliable vacuum for a home with pets or high-traffic areas, this one is definitely worth considering. I’m seriously impressed with this Bissell vacuum! I have a dog that sheds a lot, and no other vacuum I’ve tried has handled the hair like this one does. It sucked up so much dog hair that I didn’t even realize was buried deep in the carpet — it was honestly kind of gross, but also super satisfying.The suction power is incredible, and my carpets look and feel so much cleaner after just one use. It’s easy to maneuver, not too heavy, and the canister is simple to empty. You can literally see all the dirt and hair it picks up. If you have pets and carpet, this vacuum is a total game-changer.Highly recommend for pet owners — worth every penny!. The only thing that would make it even better would be if the handheld attachment had a longer hose.

I'm brand new to living on my own and adulting. I really wanted a good vacuum without destroying my already suffering bank account. I settled on this one, even though I don't have pets, because I know the carpet of my house has only been vacuumed by a really old vacuum for probably a decade or more, so I knew the carpet was probably way worse than it looked. I LOVE this thing. It was really easy to assemble, the swivel part makes it really easy to maneuver, and the attachments are great! I'm not even really sure what the pet-specific attachment is for, but it still did a great job getting small bits out of smaller areas of the carpet. The regular vacuum part got up SO much dust and dirt. I was kind of mortified but actually very relieved that it works so well. It works well on my hard floors in my kitchen as well when the settings are adjusted for that type of flooring. And it's got the easy emptying mechanic where you remove the barrel thingy and press a button to empty it into the trash. It can maintain a good deal of dust/dirt in the barrel though, but that's to be expected--that's just how dust/dirt works. It's about as heavy as I would expect a decent vacuum to be, but it's definitely not difficult for me to lift on the rare occasion I need to lift it. I think this was a really good vacuum for me to start with. I show it off to anyone who will listen.

UPDATE: After fiddling with the floor heightening dial, it seems to be working better and picking up more stuff on the carpet and rugs. For carpet, I put it on level 5, for rugs I put it on 3 and that has helped. I've added another star since some of the problem may have been a user error. Original review: I had an older Bissell vacuum that I loved that recently died. I decided to replace it with this Bissell Clear view since it got such high reviews. The new Bissell is just ok for me. I don't think it works as well as my original one and I hate that it doesn't have the option to turn off the brush like the last one (this is a HUGE annoyance for me). It just doesn't seem to have the same level of suction like the old one. The hose is not very long and you have to lay the vacuum down so that the brush doesn't dig into the carpet when you are using that. The hose does have really good suction as does the pet upholstery attachment, and I also love having the swivel option as it helps to get around things. The canister is pretty easy to empty; I am finding things getting stuck on the filter in the canister, however, and maybe that's why there are suction issues?? This one seems to be more cheaply made and while I appreciate that it's lighter weight, it just doesn't seem to have the same quality as the old one (I don't know that it's going to last the 10+ years like my other one did). I'm going to keep it since I don't want to have to hassle with returning this, and it's in my price range, but I don't think I would really recommend if you are looking for something more heavy duty as this is more for light cleaning.

Don't hesitate to buy this if you want a vacuum that actually picks up dirt and pet hair. The price was very fair, plus it's quick and easy to empty the receptacle. It's lightweight, yet feels sturdy, which is always a concern these days, plus the maneuverability is wonderful.I wasn't sure if I'd be able to use it, due to my severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. I thought it might cause pain, but it doesn't. And the best part is it's performance, which is far superior to my previous vaccuum, a much more expensive, self-propelled Hoover Windtunnel.Both the price and performance kicks butt. I can't tell you how long it will last since I just got it, but so far it's turned out to be the best vacuum I've ever owned! Buy it--you'll love it =)**It's now the middle of July and I still love it, but I discovered a new feature I wanted to share. I've attached 2 photos of a little hook they included that allows you to vacuum without worrying about running over the cord. It seems like a small thing, but I love not having to hold the cord during use. Kudos to this designer.
