Surface Dock Charger,KABCON 90W 15V 6A Power Supply Compatible with Microsoft Surface Docking Station (PD9-00003)，Model 1749 Power Transformer Charger with 6.2Ft Power Cord with a Storage Pouch

My employer recently rolled out the surface pro to replace our old laptops. With this switch I was finally able to replicate our dual monitor set up in my home. With one caveat. I would have to purchase the docking station for my home office. I decided on this work around. Since the docking station is relatively small. I can carry it home along with the laptop and leave the power transformer at work. Still a bit expensive for a power supply, but about a third of the cost of the docking station. So far this has worked out great for me. It has worked flawlessly. No issues whatsoever. YMMV. You have to be sure to match your monitors carefully. In my home set up the dock itself is not able to drive 2 monitors. One of my monitors is attached directly to the laptop. This of course has nothing to do with the power supply.

I purchased a use3d Surface pro 4 and the original power supply did not work.This is a great replacement and attractively packaged and the included case is very nice also.

Cables seem durable,It doesn't overheat.Cables are nicely very long and feel quality.If you use surface type-cover, the track-pad on that is very electric noise sensitive and works completely correctly only with the origional surface pro charger by Microsoft costing double(and those have lesser build quality).You can improve track-pad function on this charger with a few extras. Clip on rf-noise chokes in my setup were added to power cable and all network cables going into power brick. Track-pad sensitivity was changed from low to medium.With those 2 tweaks the track-pad works with virtually no freezing.Other 3rd party power-bricks in the lower price range are much worse for both durability and track-pad interference.The track-pad is the ONLY component of the surface pro this sensitive to noise, and all other elements work factory(touch-screen, cpu , gpu, ram etc all work the same as any other laptop with any other charger).Every 3rd party surface charger that isn't from Microsoft exhibits some level of track-pad freezing per most reviewers, and this ones happen to be better than most, but I'm hoping readers or the manufacturer will take the ferrite rf choke idea to heart, and other users will take the track-pad settings to heart.

I lost the part that connects to the wall for power from my docking stations. I don’t think they sell that part and docking stations are over $200. This thing saved my life. I can use my docking station again and have two monitors to work with.

Does not fit the original surface pro3 dock. I assume it works fine aside from that main point.

The charger was the wrong type for this docking station.

Ordered this to replace a surface dock that quit working. No problems with this product. It works well.

The power supply has longer cords and comes with a great carrying case. The extended length of the cords allow it to be positioned easier
