Great clippers for the price!
These clippers are great. I'm a male, who wants to start cutting my own hair to save money and give myself hair cuts more often. The clippers came in on time, and worked outta the box. They are sharp, functional, and easy to use! The product came with some instructions I follow the best I could, and my haircut is perfectly fine, especially for the first cut. The back is kinda hard to get but feel with your hair, use a mirror, or have someone by your side for help. These clippers come with oil as well. The guards for the clippers are basic guards, they work perfectly fine, as some people said they're "flimsy" well what? you want a guard made of steel or heavier material? You're cutting hair for gods sake. The guards are not as flimsy as people make them out to be. Yes if you push on it, it doesn't take a lot of force to "bend" them, but they move back, and while cutting hair, they don't bend one bit! They're great guards for this product. The case could use some more organization or a different layout, as I feel everything is cluttered in there. The clippers are LOUD, yes, not extremely loud, but a loud enough "buzzzzzzzzzz" But that loud buzz makes me feel like the clippers have power to them and isn't some cheaply made product. Most clippers will buzz, get over it. Are you wanting to get clippers that are whisper quiet? what's the need for that? sneak attack someones hair with it? no. forget the noise, it's not bad at all. Yes it also vibrates ever so slightly, which yet isn't a big deal. The loud noise, and the vibrating take NOTHING away from this product.Great product, well worth the purchase. Give it a chance. I will be happy giving myself free clean cuts with this. Practice makes almost perfect.

Wow!
I should have bought these years ago!Got them because I was ready for a change. I generally will go a few years between hair cuts or get it cut once every month or two so I never was one to waste much on barbers. But now finding myself on a fixed income and deciding to wear my hair short for however long the mood strikes I decided at the price trying these made far more sense that paying half of what they cost for one hair cut. This is a great set with many attachments so choosing what length you want to keep your hair is easy to do. Cutting my own hair was far easier than expected. I will admit I cut it a little shorter than originally planed but not as short as it could of been. So like anything else there is a learning curve involvedThe clippers themselves are made in the USA and have a quality feel to them. The attachments are like everything else these days and made in China which is fine because they do the job and outsourcing that while making what really counts here in the USA is why you can buy it at such a great price.i read reviews complaining about the scissors that come with this set being cheap Chinese crap. I found that though yes they do look cheap they are very sharp and work just as expected if not better. A decent pair of hair stylist scissors would cost many times the cost of this whole set!My one complaint is the so called book of instructions which is more like a small fold out poster with basic instructions and not a book. But again what you are paying for here is a really good hair clipper which would be well worth the price without all the extras.Bottom line - If you can afford hundreds of dollars a year (2x a month = $30 X 12) getting your hair cut than do it because barbers got families to feed too. But if like me without money to throw away (it just grows back) or just looking to cut costs somewhere these are a great buy and will not only pay for themselves but also help you start saving money real fast! The main thing to keep in mind whether cutting your own hair or that of other family members there is a learning curve involved and the hair cuts may not come out perfect at first. But once you get the hang of it people won't be able to tell if you did it yourself or paid for it.

Decent
This set of clippers seem to be reasonably good quality, and so far has performed their job well enough. (A couple of haircuts)My Conair clippers that the Wahl replaced, and that I had enjoyed for 10 years, seemed to be more like what one would find in a salon.....a bit heavier and more professional appearing, having an adjustment to reduce blade chattering or heavy motor vibration, and having both the look and the sound of a 'better' clipper. The Wahl seems to definitely be more aligned towards the home hair-care market, so I can only hope to get 10 years of use from these as I did the Conair! The clipper attachments are much different than what I was used to with the Conair, as well....lucky I started out conservatively, since the Wahl attachments cut MUCH shorter than the same numbered attachments for the Conair, or for any other clipper that I have ever used! This will take some getting used to.I could also literally use the Conair clippers to give myself a reasonably close shave, and did so on many occasions when I was in too much of a hurry to use a real razor. The Wahl clippers will not cut my beard nearly as closely as did the old set, so that is a disappointment, and if one was looking to trim their hair very closely, then this would be a shortcoming, or at least a consideration. The Wahl clippers are lighter than the set they replaced, and are a more attractive set. The cord is a nice length and the quality seems to be reasonable, as well.I did quite a bit of research, and debated about whether or not to "step up" to an Oster, but decided that I could likely buy 2-3 sets of these clippers for the price of a lower-end Oster. So far I am not disappointed with that choice.....if only the Wahl clippers will last for a bit
