Nicely visible in a darkened studio.
Nothing to dislike here. The size, adjustable brightness and ability to turn the illumination off are all good qualities. The keys are responsive.I didn't comment on "Sheerness" as I have no idea what that means.

Good visibility small footprint
Very staight forward , lights are nice and bright , takes up very little room for a full sized featured keyboard no issues with options or short cuts so far

Typical Avid Pricey but does what it is supposed to
I'm still waiting to buy my first piece of Avid gear that didn't leave me frustrated. Over the years that's been well over $100k worth, so by this time it must be my fault for still expecting it... This keyboard is OK- The backlighting doesn't really help if you are a poke and hope typist like I am as the alpha letters don't stand out that well amongst the PT shortcuts. For this $$$ a spare USB port in it would be a welcome addition on top of the console. It's a $50 keyboard they sell for $120. It continues the shut up and get in line for it Avid has been taking to the bank for as long as I've been in the game...

Insanely cheap build quality for the price.
That's it. I would happily pay around $40 for this keyboard as it's nothing special besides what's printed on the keycaps, but not a penny more. The first one I received came with one of the keys broken off inside the box and the replacement didn't come with the fancy packaging that still doesn't justify the price tag.
