Washers split if you use the wrong settings. The package doesn't include the settings necessary. Otherwise, worked perfectly. Don't squeeze hard, they don't need it.

If you get the settings correct on your crop a dile through a few practice tries, these do work with the original WRMK crop-a-dile, HOWEVER, this eyelet only works with the largest whole punch (3/16") on the original crop a dile, not the smallest one (1/8") which is what I needed it for to make some policy envelopes. If you are using a craft die to make a policy envelope that comes with a closure that already has holes, be sure to check the size of the hole and the closure. My closure was too small to be able to handle this eyelet and if I enlarged the hole with the 3/16" whole punch from the crop a dile, there was not enough space left to wrap the bakers twine around the closures after the eyelet was set. WRMK really needs to label these eyelets as being suitable for 3/16" only, the package just says "standard size" - this was very irritating to discover after the fact after many attempts to try and get these to work. Also, another tip, make sure you insert the "peg" from your crop a dile into the barrel side of the eyelet, not the flat side, otherwise, it will not work. Unless you plan on needing a lot of eyelets for something in particular I would just avoid using this whole system, the crop a dile is big and bulky, the eyelets are fiddly, and it just seems like all of this could have been designed better with a smaller device and a better system for setting eyelets.

The description says that these eyelets and washers are white. They are not. They are light grey. They are well made but not the color described.

The white comes off straightaway sono point on buying colored eyelets and washers. Beside that washers are pretty much useless

I’ve never used eyelets before - thought it would be easier. As some other reviewers have mentioned the white paint comes off. Also they were misshapen by the punch. Think I need more practice. Not prepared to use them on anything I’m making yet. On the plus side they weren’t very expensive and arrived quickly.
