This is a great product. We use it for drywall patching. It goes on smooth and sands nicely. It does take a little longer than spackling to dry. But it’s worth it because it works well and is so much less expensive. Some reviewers complained that you can get this at your local big box home improvement store for $5.78 so the Amazon price isn’t worth it. Come on—seriously? I paid $7.24 at Amazon including free shipping (for this fairly heavy product) right to my door. To me, that’s a very good value.This works well for me: When the tub is less than full, it helps to wipe the inside edges after use, to keep those small cling-on chunks from drying and then falling into the tub. If you let those dried chunks fall into the tub and mix with the good stuff, they will mess up the next layer of joint compound that you apply to the wall and keep it from going on smoothly.Another tip that works well for me when the tub is less than full is to press a piece of plastic wrap down inside the tub, flat against the top surface of the joint compound. Leave it there and put the cover back on for storage. That keeps the air off of it and keeps it from drying out.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. Great quality wall patch. Mixture is perfect, dries nicely and easily washes off. Very impressed with the price for such a large container!

It worked great, but even though the container was closed, a few weeks later when I went to use it a second time, it was hard as a rock and useless.

Easy, pre mixed mud. I only need a little for a small project. It was convenient to have it shipped straight to the house and not have to do a hardware store run!

Applied 3 coats on my bathroom walls with 24 hours in between applications, then wet sand with a damp sponge and it looks great! needs a little water when mixing to thin down for the 2nd and 3rd coats for a nice smooth finish. Got 2 coats of primer rolled on and just started the first coat of paint and the finish of this compound is absolutely amazing. I’ve lived in my apartment for 5 years, the paint started peeling, bad patchwork needed to be fixed and holes filled, this compound did all of that with new patches and you cannot even tell.
