Dogtra1900S 3/4 Mile Range Rechargeable E-Collar with Adjustable Levels for Dogs

Great for hard head dog. I hated walking my bully. He is so strong and wants to pull everywhere he goes. I started using the collar with no leash and he is a hole different dog. If he goes to far and not following verbal commands. I hit the vibrate button and he starts doing what I want. No pain for me or him. I originally got it because I lived on 5 acres with no fence. Sometimes he would go visit neighbors dogs and not come when called. It has a nice range. The neighbors said their dog is not bothered by the shock collars. But they bought a cheap one. This collar I am sure would work on their dog too. I used a minimum setting. And it got his attention. Only had to shock a few times. Now only use vibrate for past few years.

Collar works great. Battery life is great. My K9’s obedience is spot on now. No more choking him to get him off a bite or to release his rewards. I love that I don’t even have to shock him. I use the vibration function if he needs a correction and have only had to use the shock function a hand full of times.I will say if you have never used a e collar. Don’t buy a cheap pos and watch training videos before you try and use it. You can seriously mess up a dog with an e collar if you don’t understand it.

This is an amazing collar. Been using this for my 2 dobermans and it works great. My dogs have been swimming in lakes with these and they are definitely waterproof.I saw dogtra came out with a 1900X version which I saw and the moment I realize it has a selector switch to switch between dogs and I absolutely hate this idea. I like that I can call both dogs back to me at the same time. I don't have to look at my controller to see which dog is selected. In a panic situation let's say your dog starts to chase a squirrel and is running towards a busy street, you would have to look to see which dog is selected and when you hit the selector switch, you would have to make sure it switched dogs, whereas the 1902 model you can vibrate or shock both dogs at the same time and you know which dog you are stimulating by touch. You never have to look at the remote.

These things made training our German Shepherds much easier! I would warn you, like the instructions say, start low. I couldn’t imagine having these on the highest level. Our dogs learned on one of the lower level and when it went off, they reacted instantly. We’ve had the collars for almost a year now and they still look brand new. These collars are very powerful, and for the price, they should be. We love them. They’ve seen all kinds of weather and have been very sturdy.

I upgraded to the 1900X in the fall of 2024 as I was excited about the new light, tone, and boost features. I previously was running the 1900 and was very impressed with the ruggedness and ease of use, particularly the rheostat for setting and adjusting the stimulation level quickly. My favorite feature of the 1900 and 1900x is the durability and waterproofness, I NEVER have to worry about taking the collar off be fore my pup gets into the water or mud.I like the 1900X a lot! My pup is very well behaved as he is also my service dog but since he is a strong dog (pit mix) I find it very useful to also have the boost option as a strong 'NO'. I also like that the large front button can be switched between 'Nick' and 'Constant', but Dogtra should have also included an option for 'Page' for those of us who primarily use that mode of stimulation. I use the 'Page' function as a 'Come' command for my dog so I have a quiet was to recall him. A small thing but something that could easily be improved upon.The receiver is similar to the previous model but now has an aluminum shell for protection, I like it and it looks good.The contacts thread into the unit meaning that they can be completely removed if undesired. Unfortunately, the on/off button for the receiver is in-between the contact tips, making the comfort pad incompatible with this model version.The receiver and transmitter both charge via usb-c which is a very welcome improvement. Now it is convenient to charge either unit almost anywhere instead of needing a dedicated DC power supply. I experienced no issues with the range of the unit. I also very much appreciated the lock feature for securing a stimulation setting. It was nice to know that the level wouldn't change if the knob got bumped.The reason I must take a star off is due to the belt clip that comes with the unit. I was disappointed to see a cheap plastic belt clip instead of the nice metal one on the 1900. It has been a constant struggle to keep the transmitter on my person as my pup and I move through the woods. The transmitter has fallen off multiple times and I've cumulatively spent several hours looking for it. This May, 2025, I lost it for the last time. I looked for hours once again but did not find it.That being said, I've already ordered another transmitter (and receiver for back up) as it is my favorite E-collar!

So far looks great just unboxed. 3rd collar purchase hopefully this one has strength and pros that I need. Other purchases had cons: on/off button was tiny (I'm old and have arthritis so that was big issue and with 2 wrestling pups they frequently turned them off when playing. The one collar timed out after ?12 hours and if you forgot to check before door was open your SOL.) Last was shock strength but it didn't phase them especially in squirrel mode. Even after purchasing a professional chipper to get down to skin) I'm praying these do the trick.So far I see pros: on/off button big enough and only can get at it. I haven't programmed yet so will up date the review after use

Just received looks super nice and my friend raved about this product so I’m excited to get my dogs trained on it
