Excellent mower
Love my first electric mower. Mo more gas oil and bad startups. No smell either. The battery is good but I wanted more time so I bought a larger one. There are so many features I hadn't counted on. One is the baffle inside that allows you to mulch the leaves or take is out and bag them. It is so easy to operate. Self propelled is great but I use the manual walk behind. The blade that comes with it is great and does the job. I bought the mulching blade but didn't seem to need it. Excellent mower

Superb electric mower
Superb mower, one of the best yard purchases ever. Mowing has been much easier with this superbly engineered machine. At first the starting frustrated me, but was doing it wrong, Press button, lever, whallah, a great safe method. So smooth, quiet, nice safety features such as if too much grass on blade, a yellow alert, ect. The grass catching is also very smooth. The battery life is exceptional, the pull assist is also very cool, and the way it folds up is brilliant. Everything about this mower is superb. Granted, it you have a huge farm size property maybe go with gas, but so far amazed how little charge it uses and how long the battery life lasts. I'll encourage anyone everywhere to use this EGO powered battery mower, and all EGO lawn equipment. The weed wacker is nice too, quiet!

Do not buy for mulching -
So so. Gets job done, but blade seems cheap and if grass is tall you have to go slowly for mulching. Blade should spin faster.Update: I called today to let Ego know that my mower is horrible at mulching. She said, "you bought a 3 in 1 mower and if you want to mulch, there are other mowers you should have bought". Good to know now. I am frustrated with how many models there are and there is no easy way of comparing them. So, now I am stuck with a 3 in 1 (mulch, bag, side dispense) or I have to buy another mower. She told me if I am past the 30 days, which I am (bought it in March (snow on ground in Colorado) I am out of luck. Seems like they need to have a better website to allow people to compare the models. The mower I bought (steel deck) is not good for mulching which is all I do. Regrets!

A very maneuverable mower...
This EGO mower is maneuverable/lightweight and generally does a good job; however, comparing it to the 'vacuuming' ability of a gasoline-powered mower, shows that there are some things lacking with the EGO - one does not get the sense that the power of the latter is up to snuff for sucking up leaves and the like. The one thing I did not appreciate upon initial assembly was that the mower side arms and accompanying quick-adjust lever mechanisms did not line up; this meant that the handle could not be locked into any of the three positions. Thus, the mower could not be used at all without some form of external tying of the arms to prevent movement; as seen in the accompanying photo, I chose ever-ubiquitous duct tape as a solution to the problem. The downside is that one cannot adjust the mower arms to accommodate different users, and storing the mower requires the tape to be cut and re-taped for the next season, but the solution is usable. One wonders why EGO quality control could not have detected such a problem... I am generally happy with the mower as it mainly does the job, and I like my other three EGO tools, appreciating the fact that battery-powered tools are wonderful.

Go “BRUSHLESS”
I bought this “brushless” version as a replacement for the “brushed” version Ego self-propelled mower that quit starting up after about two years. When I tried to start it this spring(the old mower) it would immediately cut off flashing the overload error indicator. I believe hitting the occasional pine tree root while cutting resulted the shortened lifecycle the brushed motor. Otherwise, I was please with it.The brushless motor version is stronger (doesn’t sound different going over thicker parts of my lawn) and is not as loud as the brushed motor.I like the stability of the steel deck compared to the plastic version. It is slightly heavier to push but never to the point that I (woman age 60) need to use self-propel option. I thought the extra weight would affect battery usage but not much, if at all. I’m very happy with this mower and the Ego brand.

So easy to start and use!
I am VERY happy with this lawn mower! It is light weight (relatively speaking), cuts great and the battery lasts long enough to get through my whole yard, which takes 45 minutes to an hour. It starts so easily - press of a button and your off -- so great. (my previous mower was gas operated with a pull start)

Disappointed in the cut quality.
I have had this mower for two seasons now. I really want to love this mower BUT. The cut is terrible. I have put 4 different blades on it. We have to mower the lawn twice to get all the grass cut. At first I thought it was when the wheel ran over the grass. But it is missing grass in the middle of the cutting path. I have call support only to be told to take it to a service center which is 1 hour a way. I have had cheap mowers that cut much better then this. I was ready to by the EGO zero turn but I am not confident it will cut great. It suck because I have all Ego products.

What a polite lawnmower!
Both my husband and I have used it to mow our lawns. Pluses include light weight, maneuverability, ease of changing the cutting height (wow!), totally idiot-proof means of inserting and removing the battery, and the quiet.
