Best researched book about the Siberian Husky and sleddog racing ever written.
Without hyping every story, backed by thorough research, Pam and Bob Thomas have given us an extraordinary book. They examine the facts, try to dissect all the endless information from sources that can confuse everyone, and managed to create a fascinating book that presents the story of the Siberian Husky and dogsled racing better than anyone ever has before. Buy this book if you are interested in true history. For a fun read about a happy little sled dog checkout Sojo: Memoirs of a Reluctant Sled Dog.

Well researched and detailed
The authors share invaluable knowledge that we Siberian Husky owners are thirsty for. There's fascinating detail about Leonhard Seppala, the early days in Alaska, and the legendary dogs that are at the foundation of the breed. I found the information about Togo, possibly the greatest of all, especially interesting.

Wonderfully Informative Book
This is a great historical account of Leonhard's exploits as a musher. It includes much more than simply his life with Togo, though Togo's story was quite remarkable and inspirational.

Alaska
I am an enthusiastic fan of all things dog sledding. This book tells the story of Leonhard Seppala, a man whose name is legendary among those who take dog sledding seriously. Seppala started what is generally known as the Siberian Husky breed-strong, small, fiercely loyal to both his team and his driver.

Lot's of great old photo's I've never seen before of the man ...
This is the most complete and honest telling of the Seppala Husky lineage. Lot's of great old photo's I've never seen before of the man who brought the Siberian Husky to us all.
