Lightweight and does the job.
I chose this saw for trail cleaning work over some others because it was lighter weight. I was not disappointed. It is easy to carry and has cut everything I want to cut (up to about 7-8" diameter). I am not cutting for hours on end, but going out and clearing downed trees (so limbing/bucking about 5 trees at a time), and the battery hasn't ever died on me. I do carry an extra battery which was the point of getting a light weight saw to be able to carry both easily. Some people have looked down on my little battery operated chainsaw until they try it out for themselves. Everyone who has used it has liked it. It's not going to handle big trees or plunge cutting, but with the light weight and easy to use, its a great second saw to carry for limbing and save (your arms and) the gas saw for the bigger stuff.

Great saw for a woman
Works great! I tried my husbands commercial saw and it was too heavy. This one allows me to cut smaller limps and trees. 6-8 inches. Could use for bigger though. The battery worked well, cut about 4 of the 6-8 trees into firewood and many more branches and small trees. Still had battery power when done. I had to replace the oil twice, so watch that frequently.

You need this saw!
So where to begin? I was considering buying a nearly $400 Husqvarna gas chainsaw. I’ve taken down 75 trees in my yard of varying thickness with a friends 16” and 20” saws. So about after 50, I decided to buy this little guy for the remainder, with intent of using it for cutting limbs and branches. Cue my friend getting forced to work overtime like crazy. So I started to experiment with this saw to cut down the remaining trees. Now I still had some thicker ones that would definitely test this saw, being it’s only 12”. But wow. Super impressed. The saw had plenty of power to slice through not only the branches, but I literally sawed about 15-20 trees down with this and fully cut them up. Oak, Maple, Pine, Sassafras. No problems. Had to change the chain once during this due to dulling but it was a lot of cutting. All I have to saw is wow is this convenient! First it’s light. Very easy maneuvering and one hand cutting is super easy when necessary. Powerful enough to cut through trees bigger than 12”. Though a bigger saw would be easier, duh. But it’s nice to know it’s capable. Most importantly, the battery life. I haven’t been more impressed with a battery powered anything in my life. These batteries power this saw for a long time and I’ve only needed to change the battery once during the day while cutting up multiple trees. It’s a small saw but you could use this all day without too much exertion. Quiet and perfect for thinner trees and branches but won’t disappoint you if you need to cut thicker trees. It does use some oil so make sure you have some. Amazing tool. Would give it 10 stars if I could. I ended up buying the Dewalt 20v weed trimmer, pole saw, and hedge trimmer as well. Very impressed with the battery life and quality.

Handy Compact Chainsaw for Light to Medium Jobs
The Dewalt DCCS620B 20V MAX XR Brushless Chainsaw has been a surprisingly solid addition to my tool collection. It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to handle for trimming branches, small trees, and general yard work. The 20V battery (not included) provides decent runtime, especially if you have an extra on hand for larger tasks. The brushless motor is efficient and helps prolong battery life, which is a nice bonus. The chainsaw has enough power for most light to medium jobs, but it's definitely not built for heavy-duty cutting or thick logs. For those, you'd need a bigger saw with a higher voltage or a gas chainsaw. The 12-inch bar length is limiting for anything beyond moderate-sized branches, but for quick cleanup work, it’s incredibly convenient.Maintenance is straightforward with tool-free chain tensioning, and the saw is quieter than a gas model, which I really appreciate for residential use. Just remember to keep it well-lubricated, as it doesn’t have the oil reservoir size of larger saws. All in all, I’d recommend this to anyone needing a reliable, battery-powered chainsaw for smaller projects. It’s not a full replacement for a gas chainsaw, but for trimming and lighter work, it’s easy to use and dependable. Just make sure you already have compatible 20V batteries or are willing to buy them separately.

Equal to any gas chainsaw of comparable size and weight.
I was skeptical, but now I'm glad I bought this chainsaw. Over the years, I have had several gas chain saws for cutting firewood and clearing brush. I sold my gas saw because, in recent years, they've made rules that won't permit us to burn wood in the fireplace. But I still needed a smaller saw for trimming the trees around my house. This chainsaw meets the bill! You don't need to wear earplugs! And by the time the battery needs a recharge, so do I! It does leak a little oil, but less than my Husqvarna or Craftsman did. It's lightweight and so far it has accomplished every task I've asked from it.

Far better than expected!
Wow. I was skeptical when I bought this, mainly for cutting up stuff once I had already dropped it with the Stihl 271 I use all the time. I'm pollarding 28 60 foot tall sycamore trees and this thing is a beast. I am on my 4th one, cutting through 6 and 8 inch toppers and it's magnificent, I'm still on the first chain! I don't even take the Stihl up in the basket anymore unless I'm cutting 10+ inch limbs. Is it as fast as a gas saw? No. But it's easy to handle, lightweight, 5Ah batteries last a long time and it's got grunt when you get it in a bind.10/10 would and will buy again!
