Great Beginner to Intermediate Indoor Heli
I’ve been flying the original Blade MCX with counter rotating main blades for many years and it finally gave up the ghost. Given how long it lasted and how much enjoyment it provided over the years I decided to go for the latest model of the Blade, that being this Blade 70S.Wow it’s incredible how far the technology has come since the MCX! The gyros really make this a stable little flyer once up in the air. If you’ve never flown one you might want to try one of the less expensive counter-rotating models first to get a feeling for the various controls, but for any advanced beginner or intermediate flyer this thing is just a hoot! I’ve only flown it indoors so haven’t had the courage to switch to the higher rates, but even in low rate it’s so much more responsive and maneuverable than a counter-rotator. Once you dial in the trims it settles into a very nice hover as well. I had once small collision with a wall and there’s no visible damage anywhere so it seems pretty durable. It comes with an extra set of props as well in case you do have a harder hit that damages a main blade. The transmitter is fine for it’s intended purpose, but it’s a bit small for my larger hands so I’ll likely bind the heli to my Spektrum IX12 radio and fly with that from here on out.The only really negative I have with this little flyer is the battery. It’s a small 1S with a pigtail so there really aren’t any options out there except for the OEM battery and they’re sold out everywhere at the moment, meaning it’s one 5 minute flight and then let the battery cool for 10 minutes and then a 30 minute charge before you’re flying again. it would be nice if they’d include at least one more battery with the unit. I’ve got some 1S non-pigtail batts for the MCX and may try and make some small pigtails for them. Just not sure if they’ll fit under the canopy. It’s a tight squeeze even for the OEM battery.All-in-all I’d recommend this heli to anyone looking to enjoy some indoor flying. If you’re a first timer you may want to consider picking up a cheap counter rotating heli at the same time and fly it first before moving on to the 70S. This thing is so inexpensive for what you get though you could buy two and have one for spare parts!

Great R/C Helicopter for Intermediate Flyers.
Helicopter flies perfectly, it's very quick and responsive as well. It takes roughly 25 min to charge the battery with a phone charger and your flight will last around 7 min. There's no on and off button on the helicopter, it turns on as soon as you plug in the battery, so make sure your transmitter is on first. Once it's on and you plug in the battery, hold down the throttle and push the rudder fully towards the right to activate the throttle. If you don't fly for less than 15 seconds it will reset so you'll have to activate the throttle again. I crashed it a few times, but this little heli can handle a few tough crashes as long as you don't get it wet. I ordered this on the 20th of October 2018 and was said to arrive on the 25th or the 29th and I ended up receiving on the 30th, so the waiting kinda sucked. I definitely recommend this helicopter for beginners, it's a great way to get started on the hobby.Update January 5,2019: The helicopter still flies well, but after detaching and attaching the canopy over and over again. It wore off and now the canopy split open sideways. I managed to patch it up with clear tape to where I hardly notice it anymore. When you buy this model, reinforce the canopy with clear tape the first time you remove from the body. The material is very thin.Update May 15, 2019: Helicopter still works well with the same battery it came with. The canopy isn't splitting open anymore since I reinforced it with tape. I've crashed it several times indoors and outdoors and it still flies well. I've been reading the one star reviews recently, I feel bad for the person who received their helicopter in a broken state. The one reviewer that says the helicopter keeps spinning, you are going to adjust the trim, check for possible hair in the rotors, and check to see if anything is connected. Would I recommend this heli for children? No. Give them an Airhogs brand helicopter, those are toy grade helicopter, this one is a hobby grade helicopter since it has the same parts and control as the full-size model helicopters. My original review said "beginners" in the title review and I changed to "Intermediate." Seems people mistaken this for a not so overly complex toy for children, which isn't the case at all, so I apologize. This helicopter requires constant practice in a large space, because it's very responsive and quick.

Buyer Beware, came broken and broken controller. Could NOT RETURN THROUGH AMAZON
Been flying micro helicopters for 4 years now. I started with Blade MCX2 and went on to several others. I still fly my Blade mcx2 after 4 years. This arrived and was broken right out of the Box in 2 places. My children and I were so excited to see it fly I still tried to make it work even though the canapy was broken and would not fit back on the frame. Then the controller broke right after it binded. It never got to even take off. Only some of the controlls worked. One of control sticks went dead.I rebind-ed and restarted and followed through the trouble shooting steps 6 times and I finally called it.So buying it through amazon you think you could just return it. NO.STAY AWAY

Good for beginners
Definitely a good choice for beginners. As I read in one review this thing is fussy. Trimming the controls is troublesome. Once I think I have it trimmed up it starts drifting in another direction. You never really get it trimmed. It makes you work to keep from crashing (and I still crash) and really the primary purpose of this heli is just to develop some skills before you make a bigger purchase and destroy a larger investment. This little guy takes a beating and keeps on flying (nearly every flight ends in a crash), and it hasn't broken anything in the house. Once I feel a little more proficient on this I'll move on to the next step. Customer service was great, resolved an issue immediately. Based on that I'll probably buy this heli's bigger brother next.
