Amazon Basics Lightweight Microfiber 2 Piece Duvet Cover Set with Snap Buttons, Twin/Twin XL, Black, Solid

This just arrived this morning. My 11 year old son needed a new duvet cover for his bed and he requested black. We needed something inexpensive for his room which we refer to as, "The Bachelor Pad". Why? Because he is roommates with his best friend, a 90 lb. Black Lab. Anyone who owns a lab knows how much hair is involved. The rule in our house, is that it needs to be EASILY machine washable. This can be easily removed, and washed with fabric softener to release all the fur in the dryer. That is the reason we use duvets with covers. Comforters are a pain to wash, and start looking rough after a few washes. Also, we live on a farm and things tend to get dirtier. He helps his dad in the shop and is always tinkering. Black hides a multitude of sins. What I don't know, can't hurt me.Out of the box, it is the correct color- a nice matte black. My son was also very happy with the feel of the cover, it is definitely very soft/smooth/silky. He commented on how much the dog was going to appreciate that. (Did I mention they share the bed?)I sew as a hobby and have taken side jobs doing hemming/simple alterations on clothing for other people. So while I do not claim to be an expert, I do know what a seam is supposed to look like. I inspected the seams and the one I received was properly sewn to my satisfaction. How it will hold up after multiple washes, only time will tell. I feel that for the price, and given that it was the right kind of fabric for our needs, that it was a good price. If a seam would let go, I don't know if I would blame that on poor construction. Let's be honest, it's a kid and big dog using it heavily. If that happens, I'll chalk it up to heavy use and run it through the sewing machine. I'm more concerned at this point about how the fabric itself holds up. After a few months, I'll update with how it's held up.Before it's first use, after a thorough inspection we washed it according to the care label (with fabric softener and Downy Scent Booster- Unstoppables, I believe?) and ran it through the dryer on low heat. My daughter has a duvet for her bed made from the same material, and I do appreciate how quickly the Microfiber fabric dries. This one was no exception. After the initial wash and dry, the seams were still holding. I placed it on the duvet, popped on the pillow sham, and now The Bachelor Pad is set. It does look very nice on the bed, and as a sign of approval, the dog and boy made themselves comfortable in the middle and baptized it with the dog's hair and some stray feed from morning chores. It's been washed once a week since we bought it, so roughly 28 times? The fabric is still like brand new and the seams are still perfect. It can definitely take a beating! Now that our son is 12, we're transitioning him and his dog roommate to a more mature "teen" bedroom decor for The Bachelor Pad. Since the AmazonBasics brand has been great, I ordered a second duvet cover, bed skirt, and room darkening curtains from the product line in dark grey. I feel confident that these items will last a good long time and hold up to my son and his dog. Once his room is redecorated, I hope to find the time to post pictures of the whole thing on the review pages for the newly purchased items. (I'm pretty horrible at taking pictures and posting them- I'm trying to do better!)Also, his sister's white duvet cover (also AmazonBasics) has held up equally well. We're happy with them, and I have no reservations about recommending them to others. No, they aren't high end. They're a basic product BUT they hold up SUPER WELL to heavy use and weekly washing. And if you have kids, that's a great thing!

So I recently bought a new duvet and cover. I went through three different covers before finding this one. This is the only one I can stand - and better yet, actually like. The texture is really nice for the sensory sensitive and not super heavy like most others I tried. This one doesn’t make me sweat, but keeps me warm. It’s silky but still a high end cotton-type material, and very smooth. It also looks really nice, and washes well. I got the the white twin with the zipper.

Purchased because frequent company doesn't use top sheet (odd new trend?!) and tired of washing heavy, high-end duvet cover. This is polyester, comfortable, lightweight and easy to wash but the CORNER TIES are hilarious! You need purchase clips if you want it to stay in place, ESPECIALLY if you purchase a KING (which I also did). The ties are RIBBON like you get on a cheap carnival toy. Too short and stiff. Also, I wouldn't use this duvet cover for regular use. If anything, save up and buy yourself a nice breathable cotton cover. You'll be happier and cooler when you sleep!

Everything about this is perfect the softness and the easy way to get it on and off the bed. it has a sleet look as well as a clean look and feel .. just perfect

I purchased this duvet in Spa Blue and Light Gray - received Silver Sheen instead of Gray, but it's actually really pretty.However, I am returning both because the dimensions listed are inaccurate. The listing states that a Full/Queen duvet is 88"x88" which I thought would be an OK fit for my 86"x86" comforter, and the sole reason I chose this product over other options. I was disappointed to find that the actual product size is 90"x94" which leaves a considerable amount of extra fabric on the edges.Overall, I think this is a good product, as long as it fits your comforter:- Color: both Spa Blue and Silver Sheen are beautiful. The Spa Blue is actually a little more vibrant (more of a nice aqua-blue/gray) than the photos online.- Fabric: appears to be good quality; thick enough and very smooth, though not as soft as higher-end duvets.- Condition: as stated by others, came with lots of loose threads, but they are easy to pull out and don't appear to compromise the integrity of the duvet. Love the zipper closure and corner tie features, but both seem a little flimsy and like they might break after some use.Bottom line: great value for the price; if these were not the wrong size I would keep them.

The slip cover look and feels very nice. The look isn't a fine finished look with straight perfect lines, rather a comfortable look. The product slips over your comforter to provide a clean puffy look. It is very nice slipping into the bed, it provides a cozy nice feeling. I would recommend this product. For the cost, if one doesn't like the look, easy enough, just remove. It was simple to slip on and tie at the 4 corners. Like I said, it doesn't appear to have sharp straight lines for perfection, however, appears to be puffy and comfortable look.

We still use this duvet set years later and no issues. They wash well and seams have remained intact. Very reasonably priced considering they have latest!

It’s good quality and nice touching feeling, and it is good price too. I like it.

Si tú relleño es blanco o un color claro está perfecta ya que si es de otro color o tiene figuras se va transparentar un poco, es suave y fresco, muy bien hecho, nadie pensaría que costo menos de $400

The product was very good quatlatiy for the price but way too big for my duvet. will reorder at some later date.

Me encanto la funda de duvet!! estaba indecisa y no tenía ni idea de que funda comprar porque había batallado con que se leJalaba la tela o se le pegaban los pelitos de mis gatos pero este la verdad me sorprendió, a pesar de ser blanco no se ensucia mucho, tampoco se le pegan los pelitos, no se rasga y es muy fácil de lavar, quede encantada con la tela. Lo recomiendo.
