Great product
Great product for closing off an open toilet waste pipe. Better then stuffing rags in it!

Water always finds the path of least resistance
One particular morning in late spring, my wife and I were planning on going to the hardware store to pick up some paint and supplies as she wanted to paint a room a different color in our house. She was tidying up in the kitchen and putting the dirty dishes into the dishwasher when she let me know that water was backing up into the sink and not draining. I figured something had just gotten lodged from the rinsing so I grabbed a plunger and went to town. After aggressively plumbing the kitchen sink, the water finally let loose and started draining normally. "What a relief" I said to myself and my wife. I asked if she was ready to go and she said yes. I had to grab something from the basement before we headed out to get what we needed. Whilst down there, I was met with a different scent from what I am used to. The smell was that of fresh washed dishes. Low and behold, there was just that, hot water with fresh dish soap suds, cover part of my basement. Cue me and my wife grabbing and moving everything out of the way to prevent the water damaging anything important. This is when I noticed the main drain cleanout in my basement was squirting water out of the edge of the lid and pipe like a cherub water fountain you find in your mother's landscaped garden.Needless to say, the trip to the hardware store was a different one for me as I had to put on my plumbing hat and rent a drain snake to dislodge whatever was preventing the water to go to where it needed to be and not my basement. To make a long story short, I removed some roots from the drain (not enough in my opinion to cause such a backup) and whatever else was the major issue and the water was able to drain normally. The last course of action was to find a solution to prevent the main drain from backing up into my basement again, which I found that test plugs are a good solution. So I found this one and it fits nice once you tighten it in place of the old cap. I can't speak to if it will prevent water from squirting back through again but I believe it is sealed a thousand times better than the old dingy cap that was there.Edit: Well I can't make this up, but I wrote this review and went to bed. Woke up next morning to my wife telling me that the kitchen sink was backing up. The very first first thing I did was to run to the basement to make sure there was no water shooting out of the cleanout. To my surprise, it was completely dry. Never thought I'd experience some happiness when there was a backup in the pipes but I was glad that this plug sealed the water and kept it where it should be. The rest of morning into the afternoon was spent replacing the kitchen sink basket and snaking drains but at least I didn't have to mop the basement floor thanks to this plug.

Worked great!
Worked awesome to plug the toilet drain in my bathroom during remodel. Fit inside the flange and has a chamfer that keeps it from falling into the drain before tightening it. Kept debris out of the drain and the sewer gas smell from seeping through. Definitely buying the sizes for my other drains for future projects. Great buy for a DIY-er.

Does it's job fast and easy!
I was noticing for years a funky smell in my basement. Kept dumping water in my floor drain thinking it was drying up but that never got rid of it. Finally one day water on my floor led me to move my chest freezer. AHA! Hidden under it was an old toilet flange (drain hole) that must have been from an old toilet. It was covered by a simple piece of wood. I purchased this and it sat down in the flange perfectly, a few turns of the screw and it was locked in there nice and tight. Problem solved and it took me all of 30 seconds to install. So anyway if you've got an old toilet flange to cap look no further than this bad boy, works like a charm and couldn't be easier to install!

Very good product at a good price.
This plug was used to replace an old cap that had failed on a sewer clean out access. It worked as intended, and is a much better solution than the previous part.

Fits like a charm
Fit in the pipe perfectly and very easy to tighten the wing nut to secure it in the pipe for a very tight hold.

Easy to use, well made, provides watertight seal and great value!
Extremely well made and works great!I have a 4 inch cast iron house trap that is over 90 years old. I have been using lead sewer plugs on the trap which can only be installed using a hammer. I am always worried about cracking the old cast iron whenever I remove or install the plugs. After spending time searching online, I came across these plastic plugs and decided to try them. They are fantastic! They are easy to install and remove by hand which does not put stress on the cast iron. They also seal the pipe much better than the lead plugs because of the rubber seal. These plugs were a lifesaver for me and proved to be an extraordinary value for the money. You will not be disappointed with this product.
