Absolute garbage
Tried these despite not having luck with them in the past, because they were the only thing that would fit in the bilge of my Morgan 364. Lasted about four months and then crapped out. There was obvious corrosion where the wires went into the switch. Don't buy these, it'll just encourage them to keep making this crap instead of engineering a field switch that actually is durable. It's not just Whale either, I worked for a company that installed water witch switches and they were just as bad.

So far more reliable than micro switch
I am happy with this purchase. So far, the contactless switch has been more reliable than big brand bilge switches that depend on a micro switch lever for turning on and off my bilge pump. My problem with micro switched float levers is they don’t always turn off after the water levels drop. The Whale senses when water is present at the level of where you place the Whale. It works, no moving pieces to worry about. You still need to keep the bilge clean but no longer have to worry about a switch stuck in the on position, draining my battery.

I had to order another one the first one failed after two weeks
The item seem to work fine, but then it failed after less than two weeks. I had to re-order another one hoping this one doesn’t fail as well.

Works great
Pumps a lot of water for its size and water level sensors work perfectly.

Worked about 5 times
This switch replaced a 15 year old switch. This new switch worked correctly for about 5 times. It turns the pump on but does not turn the pump off once the catch basin is pumped out. And now it appears there’s no support or replacement. Won’t do business with this seller anymore

Switch not reliable
I bought this switch for my boat's bilge pump. The on and off levels are both closer and lower than a regular floating switch, but it is OK.The switch lasted few months only and now it will start the pump but never stop it unless I turn bilge pump off manualy. My other pump is using a cheaper floating switch (orange brand one) and is working for a year without problem.I won't buy it again
