As expected, large, thick and strong, disintegrated (as I wanted) after a season of working as "grow bags" for my potatoes.NOTE: they have a strong smell of the natural material, so keep in a bag or in a shed, away from the living areas -or it will all soon smell like a barn (unless that's what you like, of course)

The Sandbaggy burlap bags are well-made with strong stitching. They have no odd odors that come with some burlap bags. I use them mainly for storing produce through the winter, so I love that they are hydrocarbon-free. I wish there were more size options, however, that is only my preference. The item itself deserves five stars!

I am using these to hold 70 pound sand bags and they are very strong

We bought these to hold our potato harvest, they are sturdy and good quality but if you try to keep veggies in them in a basement or anywhere that may have dampness the bags quickly grow mold on them.

I get free mulch from a local municipal source and used to take over large carpenter-size trash bags to fill. They were bulky and hard to move so I dropped them at the side of the garden until I was ready to use them. After a while the plastic breaks down in the sun and you have a pile of mulch and chips of plastic. These burlap bags are a smaller size, easier to fill and carry and I store these when full of mulch inside the garage (if they're in the sun and rain they will also break down).They're environmentally friendlier than plastic and they're easier for an older gardener to move single-handedly.
