Best outdoor stove I've ever purchased!
Excellent stove! It took only a few minutes to heat up oil versus 15 to 20 minutes on my internal stove. I was blown away by the quality! Also, just as a tip, for frying once the oil reaches temperature, turn it down. The burner is so good, it does not take full power to fry a large amount of chicken and/or seafood. Also no smells in the house! Everyone is so happy!

Amazing Burner
Love this burner! Ive had it for 5 years now. I use it for camping and whenever I need a portable burner. I recommend it to everyone.

Outstanding performance, could use a couple of little improvements, and everyone loves the color.
Really impressive performance. I don't know about the top BTU rating, but seem quite a bit hotter than a standard two burner camp stove. But it's simmer! Really adjustable all the way down, great for really cooking rather than just boiling water. But the lack of a flame safety, especially when using a windscreen caused a couple of big puffs. It's possible to turn the stove on halfway, and yet not turn it on far enough to ignite, and get a pretty good build up of propane inside the windscreen, so that when you finally do realize you need to turn it all the way to get it to ignite you'll get a pretty big flash.I'm familiar with the stoves, so I never had that problem, but my camp mate had to P scared out of him. I could smell the finished facial hair just after he screamed. Also, the propane, adapter mechanism could really use work. The rigid tube connecting to the butane input is two pieces, it was quite difficult to disassemble after a week of use.How about a flexible hose?Nonetheless, not only am I keeping it, but I'm going to order another one. Two of these side-by-side would be better than a standard two burner stove, and give redundancy in the case of a problem.

Great Stove for Car Camping - Dual Fuel is a Must!
Gas One GS-4000P: I have now used this stove camping for a full four seasons. I can't sing its praises high enough. Wish I had one 25 years ago.Prior to this, I have used white gas and butane powered single burner stoves. Switching to a propane-fueled stove has made all the difference. Butane, with its boiling point of only 30-34oF is only suitable for use summertime and indoors (chafing dishes). As the gas leaves the canister, it expands and cools. Quickly, you have a cold can and no gas flow and low or no flame. You end up removing and holding the can against your body to re-warm it. This does not happen with propane. The attached photo is taken in temps of ~ 34oF. Note the frost on the propane tank.I am very pleased with all aspects of the GS-4000P. I have found it to be of high quality manufacture, solid reliability, ease of packing and storage in it's plastic box, and quick lighting. While you can turn the flame up to achieve a quick boil, it can be turned down to almost nil, good for simmering.

The Best!
I teach cooking classes and have been limping by using another portable stove that claims to be able to go from high to low and everything in between. The truth is it only goes full on and off...nothing in between.Although this one is pricier, I decided to give it a try and see if it could actually provide a low flame. It does! And more! What a delight this is! Turns on with hardly any effort and the flame goes full high and all the way down to extra low! It's beautiful. Sturdy. Well designed. What's not to like? Just wish I had gotten it sooner!

Compact, High Output, Excellent Heat Adjustment-Simmer
I used my new compact, high-output Gas ONE GS-4000P on a four day car-camp outing at 4500' to cook for two persons using CRV approved butane canisters. Meals consisted of large one-pot dinners and scrambled egg breakfasts, and hot water for drinks and cleanup. The high 12,000 BTU output quickly brought water to a boil for drinks and heated the dinners faster than expected while the simmer was flawless as I prepped side items and set the table. Heating up a ten inch skillet of scrambled eggs with corned beef hash and cheese was fast and heat adjustment was excellent to avoid burning the eggs. As I was simmering the third meal the simmer adjustment got a little trickier which prompted me to check the canister and it was essentially empty.I must admit that I wasn't specifically looking for them in the past but hadn't noticed butane canisters for these stoves small stores in remote area where I can always find the small propane canisters so dual fuel is a real nice option. And honestly I really like the clear plastic carrying case so I can see what's in it.I am very pleased with the stove.

Good burner but terrible pot stands
The burner seems great in so many ways. The heat output is great.Biggest downside is that the 4 ridged pot stand tines are extremely unstable. They all slope significant inward. I think t he idea was small pans would stay centered in the groovs but the fire ring on this burner is waaay to big and hot for any pan small enough to work that way. If you put anything else on it, say a 12 inch cast iron, The whole thing skitters and slides around in an extremely unnerving way. i would be scared to boil a pot of pasta water on this thing.I wouldn't try to use this thing with butane on any setting but low, and instead use external propane. Could use additional heat shielding to protect the fuel line from heat reflecting off large pans.

Works great for me!
I have used this stove several times since purchasing it. I like it. I like it's appearance, the way it packs up, and I like the way it operates. I mostly use it with the 16 oz propane canisters and I find that the flame is very easy to control from the high position to a very small flame. The adjustment knob stays in place and doesn't have a tendency to spring back when released. I also like the fact that the pot holder supports a variety of sizes from a small diameter to a large diameter be it a skillet, pan, coffee pot or other container. my personal experience allows me to recommend this stove to anyone looking for a well designed and well made single burner dual fuel stove. I expect to have and use this stove for years to come.
