Workbench Top - Birch Butcher Block Square Edge, 72"W x 30"D x 1-3/4" Thick

I bought 2 of these in hard to find sizes (72x30) and made desks using pipe legs. You could easily tell which side was the finished side as the other had a few blemishes.The finished side also had an oil finish on it, which I sanded lightly and stained black twice before a few coats of poly. It gave the top an awesome mixed grey/black look (the bottom just turned dark black.

Overall really like the quality of this bench top. However, they branded their logo onto the front side which ruins the overall look I wanted

Top quality, heavy duty workbench top. To avoid the inevitable nicks and scratches I coated it with spar varnish, and also use a workbench mat. Thus far it has exceeded my expectations.

horrible packaging came all damaged

I like everything about the work bench top except it is not suitable for a finished desktop. It is lightly oiled, so I cannot coat it with a water based sealer. However it works fine as a rough finished desk and I will oil it periodically.
