Fruits Basket Another, Vol. 1 (Volume 1) (Fruits Basket Another, 1)

I enjoyed it. It centers around the children of the Zodiac characters from the original series and introduces a new outcast befriending the Sohma clan. We unfortunately don't get to see our beloved Zodiac this time around, but the author teases us with what they've been up to when the new characters talk about "their parents" with their friends. You don't have to read the first series to understand this one, but considering it LOOKS like a pretty stereotypical story about a bunch of high school kids at first glance, you will have to read the main series to truly appreciate its value and complexity. The main series is called "Fruits Basket" and it's amazing, so check it out.

I liked volume 1 of this spin off series. It was a nice introduction to the new characters and zodiac children. I wish the series was longer than 4 volumes, but I’m looking forward to reading the other volumes. As others have mentioned, you need to read the original series to understand this one!

I love all the characters so much! And they all rémanence thé original gang! It has a cute story line and I truly recommend reading it

Love this as the sequel to my favorite series

I don't think anyone coming to this manga for the first time will get a great experience out of it- if you don't know what to hold your breath for, things like random character introductions and names mentioned in passing won't make much sense to you. But if you're someone who read through the original and it was important to you, this was a fantastic follow up. There are a few minor characters from the first series that show up, but mostly, familiar characters are mentioned by nothing more than name, or as someone's family member.

The product itself was great. Showed up in good condition and quickly. I was an avid reader of the original fruits basket manga so this was like a poor copy. The characters look IDENTICAL to the original fruits basket characters. I couldn't get into the story itself, unfortunately. I was very excited to buy this when I'd heard of it, but was disappointed.

I'm so happy to see she did some additional books.

Ive always loved fruits basket. Always wondered what would happen afterwards and we are blessed with a sequel to this beautiful series. Highly recommend to all you rice balls out there who love fruits basket as much as I did.
