NOT WOOD. But a nice display stand.
"High quality wood material" this is NOT. It's a plastic, with metal in the bottom, painted to look like wood. Nice, smooth finish though mine came in with a scratch in it, too. The shape is nice, and it's very stable but if you're looking for a pinnable surface...No. Head size is more like a 21.5 straight across, 22 on the tilt.
