Got my toddler excited
He saw the book and immediately lightened up! He loves road signs and the book is a great addition to his collections. Pictures are real life and easier for them to recognize. Great print too. Perfect for road sign enthusiasts.

Buy it today; DON'T WALK!
What a great idea! Our 2-1/2 year old's reading began with an interest in street signs that he'd see from the car, so we borrowed this book from the local library and knew within minutes that it was hit & that we needed our own copy! He LOVES recognizing signs around town now, and always asks what the unfamiliar ones are. Shape, color, letter, number, and early word recognition have all improved! I've posted a few photos of the book alongside his toy sign set (the two are inseparable), which you DEFINITELY should also get here:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006KQIX2/?tag=scifincom-20

3 year old grandson LOVES this!
My 3 year old grandson kept borrowing a copy of this book from the school library so I purchased this for his own personal copy.He loves it... and always wants me to drive him around to see the real signs.Unfortunately, I drove him downtown to see the "WALK" and "DONT WALK" signs and discovered there are NONE!! They have been replaced with the red hand symbol and the white walk figure.I printed from online the red hand symbol with the countdown and the white walk figure and taped those on the page with the "WALK" and "DONT WALK" signs. This book will help teach your toddler to read.

Great Photos
Nice book that works well with the road sign puzzle and the set of Traffic Signs that we got for our two and a half year old grandson. He loves anything that has to do with cars and we use this interest to help him notice the world around him and to help him with his word association skills. Some obvious signs were not included...wish I had thought of creating this book!

Wonderful for toddlers
We got this book for my first child when she was about a year and a half old, and it became an instant favorite. She loved being read the signs in this book over and over.Astonishingly, she read her first word at about two years old thanks to this book; when we were on a trip in a different state, in a restaurant she'd never seen, she pointed to a sign on the wall and read out "Exit only!" She was reading us "Exit" signs everywhere for months after that, though it was of course a long time before she started reading other words or being able to read phonetically. Now she's a teenager headed for college, I have a second child about a year and a half old, and I'm buying this book for him...

Suburban toddler not familiar with city signs not interested in it
I thought my daughter would really enjoy this book and would want to learn to read the signs, especially after she liked a similar book that was all facial expressions. She has absolutely no interest in it. Maybe because we don't really see these types of signs on our walks.

Great for a sign loving little boy!
We have read this book so much in my house it is beginning to tatter. My little boy is obsessed with signs and this was perfect for him. It is very simplistic, so don't expect more than pictures of signs. He is 4 and he gives it five stars. Since it was purchased for him, his opinion is what counts.

great book...my son can't put it down
My son (3-yr old) is really into vehicles and signs. He loves to learn a sign, and then asks us to "ask me about the sign". Then he gets to name it back to us. This book is perfect for that. It has a lot of the common signs, but then some new ones that he has loved to learn. We highly recommend an Tana Hoban book! and this one is no exception!
