These shorts are soft and nice quality. However, even though I bought a size somewhat larger than it showed he would wear, he found that the legs were tight and a little short in the straddle. At the rate grandson is growing they will probably be outgrown within a couple months. Would buy again if they still have and in a larger size.

They're fine, my boys haven't complained. We always go with cotton or a mostly cotton blend. I think the complaint about the two different sizes is because there are two different styles of underwear, comfort soft and comfort blend. It even says in the description that the printed version is a 75%/25% cotton/poly blend. This is why the sizing is different. I work in the apparel industry, and 100% cotton items need to be sized larger for the shrinkage rate. Most cotton product shrink 6-7% over the course of 6 months, so they often tend to be larger. This is just the nature of the beast with cotton. If you wash in hot and dry in hot, they're going to shrink. However, cotton is a lot more breathable and feels softer on your goods. Polyester will help keep the shape, it'll help keep the colors, and it has natural moisture-wicking properties. A little bit in your undies fabric blend is not a bad thing. It's just a matter of what you want to wear. My only complaint is that the measurements are a little too generous. These run a bit smaller compared to common sizing for clothing. For example, size Medium is usually 10-12, whereas in this underwear, it's 8-10. If your boy typically wears a size Medium, I would check the weight rating to confirm.

They look as great love the color of them. They fit perfectly with the right stretchiness for my five-year-old. They have held up very well since they've been in the washer a few times.
