Fabulous computer for the price
I bought this after looking into the Huawei Matebook X pro 13. The problem with my initial consideration was that I was worried about the future of that device with Microsoft and their possible withdraw of support in the future. So this came the next closest thing for the money and its delivered very well on all aspects of things I do. I can comfortably render 15 minute 1080p videos for YouTube in a good time. Its very fast, enough RAM to suit most tasks you wish to throw its way and is built beautifully. I take this on the road when I want to edit videos and upload them to You Tube . Its nice and light, with a very good screen. Any higher resolution a screen would be lost on a lap top this sizeThe only downsides are the battery life, lack of the RAM being DDR4 and the screen brightness not being up to the job outside .

An almost perfect ultrabook
I only got this laptop recently and so far so good. The screen is sharp and relatively bright, once the colour was adjusted slightly. Some dvds look slightly washed out but this is likely due to the fact that they are 8 to 10 years old and this is a 1080p screen. Streaming movies and shows from prime and Netflix and everything looks good, again once colour was adjusted to add a bit more contrast. Overall, its fast, responsive and has handled everything I have thrown at it with ease. I use it for Office applications and some of the Adobe suite of programs, mostly illustrator and it has been more than adequate for that. The keyboard is fine with plenty of travel, its very light and extremely portable. I have not tried any games on it so I can not vouch for the graphics card. I would definitely recommend it though, its a very reasonable price!

Does what it says it will.
I just use a laptop for working (Office style docs etc) and social media and email. It is fast, responsive and so far no problems. The finger print reader is pants but otherwise I am really happy. It feels like decent quality; picture and sound are good; webcam is ok and the keyboard feels nice to use.

Fantastic Laptop
I bought the 500GB 16GB RAM model. It's been a fantastic investment and worth the money in my opinion. It's a sleek yet very sturdy design that I'm very impressed with. I use it for everyday computing and light gaming which it is perfect for. The only negative is the fingerprint reader which more often than not never recognises my fingerprint but I can live with that.

Dishonest marketing
I bought this laptop in December 2020 and found that the USB-C port doesn't work. When I explored on the HP website I found the bit where HP checked my laptop, only to discover that the machine was no longer in guarantee - the guarantee had lasted from 2018 to 2019. So the machine must have been sold and registered in 2018 before being put on the market as brand new. (The advertisement said nothing about it being used.)

Windows
The spec suggests Windows 10 as part of the package but after unpacking it we find that is only a one month trial - what a swizz.

Beautifully made but a few flaws
Had this a few weeks now. Most of what HP claim in their marketing is true except for two things: the fingerprint sensor is absolutely useless - it will never recognise your fingerprint. You can reset it as much as you want - it never makes a difference. The other is that it will only connect to randomly selected WI-FI networks. There is one particular network where I have to connect the laptop via my phone (phone can connect fine) and laptop can connect via WI-FI to phone, but not directly; so WI-FI adaptor on laptop working. It also connects directly to other WI-FI networks. These are the only bugbears so far but are slightly annoying as it's not a cheap laptop. Can I live with it? Yes. Can I recommend? Not really. When something comes from the factory with two main pieces of not working with full functionality it's not acceptable nor give reassurance on any type of quality control at HP.
