Simple Designs LT2008-PRP-2PK Mini Ceramic Globe Table Lamp Set, Purple, 2 Count

With these lamps being $10 each, I was not expecting much but, these little lights are awesome. They are super cute and perfect for a book shelf, child's room or small side table. A few things to know before you buy them:1. Yes, they are small. I knew that when I bought them though because I am an adult and I always check the specs before I buy something.2. They do not use a typical light bulb but a candelabra bulb. But again - I read so I knew this and prepared for it.3. My only real problem with it, is that the switch to turn the light on and off is a little stiff and my daughter has a hard time with it. I'm sure over time it'll be fine.This is a good buy as long as you know what you're buying.As someone who buys literally everything online, I get a kick out of the reviews. Really people, why leave a bad review because of your inability to purchase things online? Read the product description before hitting the "BUY NOW" button, folks!

Too small

These are cute little lamps (and they are very little, but they are a size such that they make good desk lamps), but they have two major flaws:1. The shade rests too low and the bulb sticks out above the shade. The only solution is to let it sit on top of the ring that supposed to hold it in place, resulting in a shade that's not held in place.2. The only on-off switch is on the cord, and since you really want the cord to dangle below your desk and not sit on top of it, which means there's no way to turn on the light. The product description is rather deceptive, it just says it has a "rotary switch" but doesn't specify a rotary CORD switch which is the worst kind of switch in a light.

cute little lamps for a night light

I want to keep these as they will work well for ambient lighting... but honestly there are ZERO light bulbs that work in them! The lights are diminutive and all the 40watt candelabra bulb are over 3" and stick out the top looking silly. There is not a recommendation on a light bulb to use with these. ZERO light bulbs work. I think a night light bulb would work but would be very dim!

EDIT: Reading the review of another customer I tried 25 watt candelabra wax warmer globe bulbs and they fit without sticking too far above the lampshade.The size of these lamps are perfect for what I wanted and fit right on my small vanity but unfortunately, like a lot of other reviewers experienced, the required candelabra bulb sticks out of the top of the lampshade about an inch or so. Which not only looks very stupid, but unless the lamps are placed high above your head, you just see the blinding brightness of the top of the light bulb that isn't covered by the awkwardly short lamp shade at all. I tried using 40 watt globe shaped candelabra bulbs to try and make these work, but the bulbs wouldn't work in the lamp. These are useless for my needs and I'll be returning.

Yes, they are small, but thats what I wanted. People should read the description and admit THEIR mistake, not blame the product for being what it says. Nightlight bulbs (incandescent and LED) fit perfect and DO NOT extend above the shade. Candelabra bulbs may, but those are Amazon suggestions, not the products manufacturer. It amazes me how many people write bad reviews for a product when 9 times out of 10 it's because they either misread the description or they didn't bother to read it at all.
